A truly stunning 5* shepherds cottage situated in an idyllic and magical location. On your doorstep, the River Liddel welcomes you.. 1 step to entrance.

Bedroom 2: Zip And Link 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included, remainder available locally. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Enclosed lawned garden with patio, sitting-out-area and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: The property has a private water supply filtered through a particle and UV filter. This property has a security deposit of £150. . Sitting within the pretty hamlet of Saughtree, near Newcastleton, Scotland, you will find this impressive abode, The Liddel Haven. Offering accommodation for four guests over two well-presented floors, this property makes a fantastic base for a relaxing break with family or friends.
Pull up on the private driveway and marvel at the beauty that surrounds you. Gather in the living room together and enjoy a complimentary whisky on your arrival, high quality furnishings and immaculate finishes brings a classic and luxurious aura to the room, it makes a lovely spot to unwind and catch up with your favourite shows on the television with the gentle flames of the open fire creating a relaxing ambience. For time all together, the dining room makes a great space to toast to a terrific holiday and tuck into a home-made meal, the dining room also boasts a second wood burner which really sets the scene. The kitchen is home to all the essentials you could need, with ample space for the chef of the group to get to work. There is also a separate pantry. At the end of each day, seek comfort in one of the two bedrooms, combining a mix of kingsize and twin rooms over the first floor; each room offers its own unique and luxurious interior with a choice of mattress to suit your own need. The king room includes a 35cm deep, bespoke Tranquillity mattress, handmade by Staples, with a luxurious topper of wool. There are also tea and coffee making facilities for them easy going mornings. When the winter nights kick in there are electric blankets to keep you snug and warm. The twin room include two single beds – which can come together as one. In this room, there are two different mattresses to choose from dependent on your personal preference, a bespoke Tranquillity mattress medium/firm and the other is a bespoke Sensorfoam mattress. Refresh in the gorgeous family bathroom, finished to an extremely high standard bringing together a country and modern twist.
The locality offers good walking and cycling and is 15 minutes away by car from Kielder Water, where a substantial selection of outdoor activities and water sports can be found. The property is ideally situated for the Winter Wonderland at Kielder Park in December. Kielder is a charming village just 3 miles over the border, hailed as one of the most tranquil locations in the country and home to some beautiful views. The Scottish Borders itself offers spectacular scenery and is rich in history. A 25-minute drive will take you to Hawick which boasts numerous supermarkets, restaurants, shops and even a distillery. A 10-minute drive in the opposite direction takes you to Newcastleton where three pubs, two restaurants/tea rooms, a bank and two supermarkets can be found. Newcastleton Forest is a great location for keen mountain bikers. The picturesque border towns of Peebles and Moffat are about a 1-hour drive away and offer a variety of amenities. The sister property to this one, Lake View Cottage (UK3240), is only a 20-minute drive away.
