Perfect Port Erin bolthole

Everything about this cottage was perfect. Spotless, tastefully decorated, on the beach, views from every window, sunny bench outside, great walks in every direction, near all the facilities of Port Erin. Comfy beds, great for teenagers, provisions in the fridge on arrival…perfect.

A cozy cottage with unbeatable views

The cottage was a lovely surprise being both cozy with traditional features and modern. The bathroom was luxurious with a great shower and the master bedroom was very comfortable. Well appointed kitchen that you can cook properly in. No shortage of equipment. Would definitely stay there again.

Quirky Cottage

Very well equipped cottage, with stunning views across the bay in Port Erin. The cottage is perched on a hillside with parking outside the front door. This is a very narrow road, with service vehicles reversing round regularly.I found it easier to park the car on Shore road at the bottom of the hill, also no restrictions. This also meant the car was not blocking the view of the bay from the living room window. Pubs within easy walk of the property, but this is quite a hilly location,so it helps if you are quite fit.Shops are nearby with a Tesco in the village centre Excellent transport links to the rest of the island, with competitive ticket prices.

Great property

This property was booked for colleagues who were carrying out work in the area. The house and location were more than suitable for their needs, and communication was great with Island Escapes who were very helpful when we needed to extend the stay. I would not hesitate to book again.

Winter visit

Our second stay within a month as we have had to visit for family reasons. It makes a great base even in winter, warm and comfortable. The only slight drawback might be the cul de sac location and having to reverse in or out.Against that parking is very convenient and the view over the bay and harbour is great. We enjoyed our stay despite the circumstances.

Fabulous cottage in Beautiful Port Erin

This cottage is a gem! Our second visit was amazing and only frustrated that we could not get in again for next year due to its popularity. Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves the IOM and a grandstand view for the best sunsets.

One of the best cottages we have stayed at!

What a view overlooking Port Erin Beach and harbour. We would sit and watch all the activities on the shore below. The cottage was so well prepared for our visit. It was immaculate. It was close to all amenities and it was well worth paying a wee bit extra to be able to charge out EV. All in all this was one of our favourite cottages and we have stayed in many across the UK and Ireland.

Stunning sunsets

The view of the bay and the sunsets are wonderful. Easy walking to local amenities, the only downside to this property is the parking. Would advise reversing down the road as turning can be very tricky.

Excellently presented cottage in a perfect position.

Cottage was very well appointed with care taken over comfort, appliances ,facilities and decoration. Perfectly positioned overlooking the sea in a good spot for people watching over the small harbour and the beach. We had a thoroughly enjoyable break.

Pleasant stay

The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The only issue was the heating on the ground floor as only source is the log burner logs should be provided it felt cold and damp. Parking very difficult.

Lovely cottage / amazing location & views

Lovely cottage with amazing views in a fantastic location. The cottage was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Only negative I had was when parking outside the property it was not easy to get back out the flowing day as the cottage is in a cul-de-sac and the road is not wide enough to turn in, there is plenty on parking just down from the property on the sea front but the path back up to the cottage is quite steep which could be a problem for some people. I must also recommend the pizza restaurant/takeaway on the sea front which was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location,

Looking down to the harbour, , calm and uncluttered decor with all essentials present, sitting furniture limited but thoughtful use of the small space. Good kitchen and bathroom.Only small cars could use parking outside house. Bay Hotel good ale and friendly and food better than it looks. Great bookshop. Surf's up on Sundays.

Short Break

The cottage 'Baljean' was excellent although it took a while for the under floor heating to get up to comfortable. Probably not normally an issue but the weather was poor and a bit chilly. We knew there was a log burner so had taken some logs with us. It quickly warmed the room and was very cosy. Would recommend that to anyone if going during the winter months.

Brilliant stay in a stunning holiday home with an incredible view!

We have loved our stay at Baljean! It has the wow factor with the way the home is furnished. It’s really top class. Good quality and stylish, a really comfortable stay too. This place would be brilliant anywhere but when you add in the stunning view of port Erin it makes it really special. This can be seen from the windows in the main bedroom, living room and even the shower and a nice little bench outside is a good shop to soak it in. Also really great communication. We asked 2 questions on the day of arrival. First for a slightly earlier check in if possible and secondly for the whereabouts of the Wi-Fi, both answered really quickly via email which was impressive again. We don't want to leave and would Highly recommend staying here. We will definitely return to for future trips.

Beautiful property in a lovely location.

Baljean is a lovely property to stay in and is in a beautiful location. It is very well equipped and was exceptionally clean. The condition was excellent. We had an issue with the washing machine while we were there and island escapes responded promptly even offering to pay for any laundry we needed doing while it was fixed. The only thing that could improve the property is more comfortable lounge furniture. The chairs and sofa really aren’t nice to spend a whole evening sat on.
