Simply Perfect

Glen Chass Farmhouse is just a perfect place for families and couples alike. With walks starting just outside of the house without the need of a car and the beach, playground and steam train in Port Erin just a short drive. Ideally located for touring the island with most places no more than a 30 minute drive. We found no problem with parking everywhere we went. The house itself is ideal, three good size bedrooms, good size and well equipped kitchen, cosy living room/diner with a log burning fire. Plenty of information on places to go and visit and a marvellous selection of books to read. The hosts Jackie and Graham were brilliant, we visited with our three grandchildren who instantly fell in love with Jackie, she was brilliant with them, showing them the delights of rock pooling which, as grandparents, we had never experienced before and enjoyed it as much as the children did. Both Jackie & Graham contributed immensely to the enjoyment of our holiday. Memories that will remain with the children forever. I cannot recommend the house enough for the perfect stay.

Excellent holiday accommodation in a beautiful location

We have booked the farmhouse several times, and just love the house and it's location. although the access (single track in places) can cause a bit of concern, it never caused a problem for us..The owners are lovely people, and always make us so welcome. Thank You.

The views! Quiet but close to town.

Fabulous stay at Glen Chass Farmhouse! The ocean views, farm fields, sheep, cattle, pheasants and walking trails along with close proximity to town sold us (5 mature adults) on this property. The amazing artwork and books that fill this home with color and details were appreciated! The owners live adjacent and are very educated, well traveled and interesting people who are available for any questions, concerns or just a cup of coffee/tea for a chat if desired but will keep their distance if you wish to be left alone. (I really enjoyed getting to know them, and to me that was a positive factor!) Because portions of this home are hundreds of years old, there are additions made over time, with proper updates throughout. Due to this the kitchen ceiling and doorway are shorter than other rooms so if you’re taller than 6’2” watch your head there. Our two 6’1” men had no issues. The gardens are fabulous and note the hand places mosaics in the driveway and gardens. If you like walking/hiking be sure to walk past the end of the lane, taking the pathway up the hill and past the old Chasm Cafe to see the ancient Neolithic stone circle remnants. Watch for seals playing along the shoreline too. But dodge the dung, and be sure to take your shoes off when entering the house (host request). It was great to be able to have windows and the upper half of the door open on sunny days too! Very narrow lane up to it, but don’t be scared. I would definitely stay at Glen Chass Farmhouse again!

Excellent holiday accommodation in a beautiful location

This was our third stay at Glen Chass, and it won't be the last. Went with my daughter and her grand-children. and the children love it. The views are fabulous, and the calves, rabbits etc. across the road, were a massive attraction for the chldren. The house is very comfortable, and although the kitchen is small, it has all you could possibly need..We will return!

Beautiful views

Greeted with a stunning view towards Port St Mary and the rolling hills through to the plains of Castletown. On arrival we were greeted by the hosts - warm, friendly and inviting. The farmhouse was comfortable and homely. Three good sized bedrooms with comfortable beds and everything provided. The hosts provided extra basics in the kitchen. The hosts stayed in touch through out our stay. There are lovely walks from the farmhouse along footpaths across open fields with views of the cliffs and the sea.

A comfortable retreat in a great location.

We stayed for a week but wish we had booked for longer. Glen Chass farmhouse is a wonderfully comfortable house with excellent facilities and a splendid view across the Bay. There are lovely, scenic walks on your doorstep and shops are two minutes' drive away. The owners, Jackie and Graham, are extremely helpful and friendly. We loved leafing through the many books, never tired of the view and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks, Rowena and Malcolm from Worcester

An excellent location in the countryside overlooking the sea and Port St. Mary

A delightful 3 bedroom house situated up a step single track road overlooking beaches, Port St. Mary and beyond. The owners, were a lovely couple living next door, who were really helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and might well return again.

Excellent holiday accommodation in a beautiful situation.

The farmhouse is beautiful.and the views from the property have got to be the best on the island. We were greeted by the owners , a lovely couple who were friendly, helpful, and showed us around the property. The library is amazing, and a joy for book lovers. A really relaxing, comfortable holiday home.
