If you need additional beds we offer comfortable Frontgate air mattresses with frames. There are two newly renovated bathrooms with large showers, pedestal sinks and soft, luxurious towels.

The farmhouse is also equipped with a full kitchen including stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans and various kitchen utensils. We also have a washer and dryer on the first floor for guest use.

Dodgeville and surrounding areas offer a variety of things to do including Governor Dodge State Park (which is less than a mile away and offers biking and hiking trails, horseback trails, swimming, canoe and boat rentals, fishing, etc), House on the Rock, Golf, Mineral Point art galleries and antique shopping, New Glarus Brewery and Tour, and American Players Theatre in Spring Green.

Located a short car ride from Madison where you will find a host of amazing restaurants, the Saturday Dane County Farmers Market around the State Capital, boating, biking and all kinds of family fun.

Great, roomy, quiet place with beauty and solitude.

At White Oak Savanna just outside of Dodgeville, we thought the accommodations were great for our families! Very spacious kitchen -- new pots and pans were appreciated, along with generous supply of dinnerware. . Dining room with its large harvest table was wonderful. Lots of sleeping space with four bedrooms. Nice outdoor areas for kids to play. Really enjoyed our stay!!

Fabulous home on incredible property

We absolutely loved staying at White Oak Savanna Farm. The home is beautifully decorated and accommodated our large group easily. It is well stocked including soaps and shampoos, coffee and kitchen essentials. The property is amazing, with beautiful landscaping, and acres of rolling hills to explore. Audrey is very responsive and made us feel welcome in her home. We are truly grateful we had the opportunity to stay at this amazing place and we can’t wait to come back!

Family-friendly and well-appointed accommodations

We enjoyed a last minute family get together with our group of 12 coming from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Colorado. The accommodations were clean and nicely appointed. Paul even made sure to get a gas grill for us at the last minute. The kids (ages 2 - 7) enjoyed performing in the ampitheater, walking/biking around the grounds and playing at the beach at nearby Governor Dodge State Park. Great weekend for our group!

Beautiful relaxing escape

This property is phenomenal. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and near a lot of great activities and places to visit. We were there with grandparents and three kids ages 3-5, and everyone had a great time. We highly recommend going across the street to Governor Dodge State Park - fantastic swimming lake. Host was very responsive. When we arrived there was a heat wave, and it took a minute for the AC to catch up, so they ran extra fans over within 10 minutes! We’d love to go back.

Great space!

We were three families with six kids between us. The house and property were great for us. The area is beautiful, and the house is well-equipped. We were never able to get the WiFi to work (the password wasn’t accepted), but everything else was great!! It would have been nice to have an information sheet with expectations about check-out procedures (run the dishwasher? Strip the beds) and instructions on where the garbage goes outside and whatnot, but I hope we did everything right. Thanks again!!

Wonderful Stay

We had originally been booked at another property and found the White Oak Savanna by chance when there was an issue with the previous property we were to stay at. What a blessing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t imagine a better location for what we needed. Our kiddos enjoyed exploring the property during the day and catching fireflies at night (something we have never seen before since we are from Colorado). The house had everything we needed to make meals and the accommodations were super comfortable. We will be returning!

Great reunion weekend

We knew we were in for a hot spell, and the air conditioning saved the weekend. Out of state family was looking forward to relaxed get together, and time for the kids at the Governor Dodge lakes. Couldn't ask for anything more convenient. We tended to spend the rest of our time cooking up huge batches of food in the spacious kitchen. The dining room table was long enough to seat us all. We had a brief bit of confusion about how to make the door lock box work at check-in, but Jeremy was accessible to talk us through it. The wi-fi wasn't working when we were there, & the out-of-state group couldn't get any reception with their carrier, which kind of hampered one person's need to finish an online work project until he found a Dodgeville cafe w/wifi. Lesson learned: vacation means vacation.
