Excellent stay

Lovely cottage perfectly placed for enjoying the Cotswolds. Minor issues - no welcome pack , uncomfortable sofa and lack of basic cleaning products. Cottage was generally clean but didn’t like partly used food in the cupboards.

Would come again!

Decided to take a weekend away in the country during a bank holiday and this place was amazing. Super close to all the more popular villages, and this village is also super cute, but not overrun by tourist. It’s big enough for two people. Kitchen is nice and big, and the couch is comfy enough to fall asleep on.

Honeymoon

We came away for a few days for our honeymoon after recently getting married, the property was excellent and in an ideal location. The owner was very friendly and even gave us a bottle to celebrate. Would highly recommend this to anyone!

Robins Roost

A lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful village with great walks with the dog. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could need. Bed comfortable and sofa in the lounge lovely and comfortable. The only thing I would say is that we had to keep the dog on the lead in the outside area because of chickens (which we didn’t see) and the broken electric gate. But it wasn’t a huge problem.

The Cottage at Robins Roost

Location was excellent, perfect for exploring the Cotswolds with my partner and our dog. The cottage itself was lovely and cosy, however, the only down side seemed to be that it was in desperate need of a deep clean and some minor updating just to give it that 5/5 rating.

Beautiful stay

We had a wonderful stay at Robins Roost. The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable with great facilities. I loved the little touches too, like the books, games and biscuits. Just be careful if you cook as it does get Smokey so be prepared to open the sliding doors whilst cooking. We also took our dog and he loved his stay. We would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone wanting a stay with a pet. It is only a 5 minute drive to Bourton-on-the-water so it is the perfect location.

Amazing little cottage in the heart of the cotswolds

Myself, my wife and our dog went away for a nice weekend at the cottage, the cottage is presented nicely and has everything you need! The surrounding areas such as burford and Bourton on the water, have a lot to offer with little bakery’s and independent shops. Daylesford farm shop is only around a 10 minute drive away and is definitely worth it.

4 nights in June

Lovely cottage for a couple. Easy to find and park. Very clean, and the hosts were helpful by allowing us to check in slightly early and left some basic essentials (tea, milk, washing liquid, towels etc). We only really slept/got changed as we would spend our days in Bourton-On-The-Water or elsewhere which is about 30 minutes walk away taking the shortest routes through the fields - I wouldn't want to do it in the dark.

A lovely stay for a week away!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cottage at Robins Roost. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable week away. Location is perfect as it’s just a 2 minute drive away from Bourton-on-the-Water and close to other attractions as well. Our only comments would be that the parking space is a little tight if you are bringing a larger car, and check in time of 5PM was a bit later than we had planned. We couldn’t do much before as didn’t want to leave our car anywhere when it had our luggage inside! All in all a lovely stay for enjoying a week in the Cotswolds.

A lovely retreat but a note for dog owners..

This property was ideal for us and lacked nothing. All very comfortable. It is advertised as 'dog friendly' and although we are the owner of a dog we did not bring her along on this occasion. I think this was a good decision as we felt it isn't really suitable for a dog, as there is no small outside space where a dog can be left free to wander. And we got the impression dogs were tolerated rather than welcome. The doors would always need to be kept closed when in the property with a dog and they would need to be on a lead at all times if in the shared outside area. This would quickly become tiresome. Other than that- we loved the property and the surrounding areas.

Nice weekend trip

My mom and I had a nice trip to the Cotswolds, and this cottage was in a great location to get to some of our favorite towns. The cottage is very well decorated and was very clean. There unfortunately was one issue with our stay— there had been a wifi outage that impacted the property. We had been informed about it in advance but Stay Cotswolds had no other properties that could accommodate us on such short notice. I didn’t want to cancel the trip because we already had rented a car, so I said we could go ahead but I had to be the one to ask for compensation, which the host agreed to (it would have been better service to offer compensation without me asking for it). There was no cell service in the house itself so we had to go outside to get any service. No one gave us an indication that this might be the case, so it was an unfortunate surprise. Obviously, this won’t be the case for other people staying, but I thought it could have been handled better if the host had been more proactive.

A lovely stay at Robins Roost

We had a great stay at Robins Roost - perfectly located for lots of great walks straight from the doorstep. The cottage is well equipped and more than big enough for a couple and a dog. The wifi is fast, really powerful shower, nicely heated and comfortable bed. Overall the property was clean although there were quite a few cobwebs around which could have been easily cleaned hence the 4 for cleanliness, although didn’t bother me too much. Overall we had a fantastic stay, thought it was great value for money and would return. Thanks for a lovely visit!

Lovely comfortable cottage

Lovely cottage, fairly well maintained. Bed was surprisingly comfortable, kitchen was very well stocked with everything u need. Shower not so good, no pressure & leaking out of control. Neighbour was a bit aggressive, pouncing on me when I went to find washing machine, decided not to use that facility as it was in the back of a garage, not appealing.

Peaceful getaway

The cottage was in a perfect location, really peaceful with no road noise. Ideally situated for driving to many areas within the Cotswolds, and within walking distance to Bourton on the Water across public footpaths which was ideal for us with our dog. The cottage itself is very well equipped, particularly the kitchen as I often find with these places that plates and glasses etc are limited, and plenty of cooking utensils. Really liked the open plan layout downstairs as it was sociable. The bed was comfortable and a king-size so plenty of space - do bear in mind that upstairs has low ceilings though. Small shared courtyard outside which was lovely, a little too cold for us to make use of but ideal just for letting the dog out in the evenings. Some small negatives - when we arrived on the Friday night the cottage was cold; there is a note in the pack asking guests to turn off all radiators when they leave, but it appears the cleaning team do not turn them back on so it isn't the warmest of welcomes in cold weather! Also we had stated that there would be a third guest with us - the downstairs sofa is also a sofa bed and there were spare duvets and pillows in the cupboards, but no spare bedding. Thankfully he was only staying with us for one night, but it seemed a little strange that this was not prepared for as we had informed in advance that we would need the sofa bed. I would recommend the cottage to others, and we thought it was very reasonably priced for the quality and location of the property.
