GORGEOUS Remodeled South Beach Cottage - 2 blocks from the shore!

Step into our sunny-bright beach cottage with a farmhouse flare that will make you feel so welcome and cozy you won't want to leave! You will feel pampered by the personal touches and extras that come with your stay at this vacation home. Fetch some morning brew from our coffee bar and enjoy the morning peace nestled in the rockers on the front porch. Enjoy some family fun in the sun and sand followed with a home-cooked meal in the kitchen (or outdoor grill) full of all new appliances to meet all of your cooking needs. Enjoy your meal at the kitchen bar or at the dining room table amidst the warm glow of the fireplace. There are 2 TV areas for together cuddles or winding down family time. This home carries a small footprint, but feels incredibly roomy with high ceilings and open floor plan. Despite breeching 100 years, everything in this home is BRAND NEW!
Family games, toys and puzzles are great for inside fun, while outdoor pleasure is just around the block at Kids Corner and hiking/biking trails are down the street (Van Buren Trail) or across town (Kal Haven Trail). There's bike, moped and gulf cart rentals in the area to help you get around. Boat and jetski rentals can bring summer water fun.
Children will love the custom-made bunk experience (very fort-like) that has 2 twin beds above 2 full beds.
Downstairs bedroom has en suite full bathroom with tub/shower, glass enclosed. Upstairs full bathroom offers a walk-in shower, glass enclosed.
For your convenience a brand new washer/dryer is ready to assist!
The beach is two blocks away and festivities, restaurants, shops and winter ice rink are all in walking distance as well (6 blocks). Be sure to check out South Haven's calendar of festivals and events to enhance your time here. Evening ice-cream runs are a must! The harbor is also in walking distance (about 5 blocks) and offers a kids splash & play, live music, benches and grills or just pull up a yard chair and watch the boats go by. Small dogs under 20 lbs welcome with a $200 fee.

It was almost perfect
The house was very nice and nicely updated. Really, the only problem we had was that we didn’t get to enjoy the expected length of stay. We had an agreement for a late check out which the owner then rescinded after it was too late for us to cancel. It was agreed for us to have the late check out to accommodate a special needs individual. I followed up to make sure this was agreed upon and I was reassured. I was appreciative that they were being understanding. But, when the opportunity arose for them to rent the house for our check out day,they rented it, thus breaking their word and telling us to vacate earlier. It made the entire check-out day schedule chaotic and dampened our stay, and we had to cancel our trip into town and proceed home.

Every detail thought of
Totally wowed. Our family of 4 with two small children (and our doodle, Beau) stayed in the cottage for Thanksgiving weekend and were so delighted by all the cute details, high end finishes and a level of cleanliness that I have never seen in a short term rental. Every surface was sparkling clean including the floors, the linens and everything in between. High end touches like nice blow dryers, little soaps, enough dishes and pans to actually cook. Thank you to Andy and Daniall for being responsive and kind hosts and putting so much care into your cottage. We can’t wait to visit another time.

Really enjoyed our stay. Two blocks from the water in a great little town. Loved how quiet it was the weekend before Thanksgiving. Exceptionally clean, hosts were great on email, what's not to like.

Out stay at this coastal cottage in South Haven, MI, was nothing short of magical! A home away from home
It was such a beautiful and well-appointed rental. It had so many special touches which helped to make the weekend even more special. The location was perfect- we enjoyed the neighborhood and being so close to the lake.

Great place to stay
We’ve had great luck with Michigan and South Haven did not disappoint! The property was clean and cozy- my kids LOVED the upstairs loft with bunk beds, their own television and bathroom. They didn’t want to leave! The hosts were responsive and had plenty of toiletries and extras on hand for us. It’s a great location. We walked to the beach everyday. The street was nice and quiet. The only downside was how uncomfortable the primary bed was.

We enjoyed a long weekend get away to the lovely state of Michigan and loved our accommodations. The house is conveniently located, has adequate parking and in a quiet neighborhood. It is adorable in its decorations and fully functional. the owners were very nice and allowed us a little early access to get the baby down for a nap. Highly recommend this special home!

Wonderful Stay in Beautiful South Haven
We enjoyed our stay. Cottage had everything we needed and in a quiet neighborhood very close to South Beach and town. Nicely remodeled and clean. Well stocked with supplies….kitchen and baths had soaps, shampoo, towels, etc…..also nice washer and dryer. High end appliances…and a hookup outside to charge the golf cart. Nice amenities….would stay again!

Loved our time here!
The house was super cute and had plenty of room for our family of 7, 4 adults, 2 teens, and a toddler! We were able to walk to everything, the shops, restaurants, and the beach without any issues! The street that it’s on is super cute and seems very safe! There were people walking everywhere, just seems like a cute little beach town! It was our first time visiting Michigan and we will definitely be back and hopefully be able to rent this same house!

AMAZING House
We loved this upscale house with all of the things a vacation rental could need from coffee to laundry/dishwasher tabs, spices, etc. Extremely well decorated and in a great place to walk to overlook the beach. Property is in quiet neighborhood and quick drive to downtown south Haven.

Beautiful South Haven home
It has a great location, 2 blocks from the beach and 6 blocks from downtown. Easy access to get in property and very clean and supplied with everything. Beds were comfortable and we only wished we stayed there longer. This is our first and only choice to stay next time we are in South Haven !!

South Haven Vacation - Fantastic!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this beautiful South Haven cottage. The house was perfect in all ways, the charming decor, the amenities and the PERFECT location. The place was exactly as expected from the listing. Nicely updated with plenty of beds and space. Very clean. Appropriate walking distance to the beach (2 blocks) and 1 block to the kids corner playground which was perfect for us and our 3 kids. The only thing I wish this place had a private outdoor space to grill and hangout. Not many rental owners leave you a welcome card and gift along with cute soaps and sunscreen! That was a lovely surprise. I recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay here again. We love visiting South Haven!

Beautiful Home. Perfect Location.
Our stay was wonderful. This house is beautifully decorated, clean, well thought out and perfect for our family. While we spent a lot of time together in this home playing games, watching the Olympics, having drinks on the porch, grilling out and enjoying the fire pit, it was also a perfect layout for us to retreat to our own space when needed. The kids took over the upstairs (bedroom, bunk, TV area and bathroom) and my husband and I the downstairs. This home is also in a great location. So close to the beach and Kids Corner and a nice walk to downtown. We've rented in South Haven for many years, and this rental is one of our favorites! Looking forward to coming back. Thanks for being great hosts Andy and Daniall.

Thank you so much for sharing your home. The attention to detail, homey atmosphere, and set-up were perfect for our family. I loved reading each morning on the front porch enjoying the gentle breeze. The organization and cleanliness of this property is unparalleled! They thought of everything. Great spaces to unpack clothes, storage for bathroom supplies, tons of towels, blankets, fans, etc. Kitchen was fully stocked and even had ice machine repaired while we were there quickly. Can't say enough good things about this property. I was pleasantly surprised!

High school sweathearts - we married at the end of our college years and South Haven was/is our happy place! It is where we were when we became engaged and where we spent our honeymoon...and endless numbers of dates throughout our years :) Buying a vacation home here has been on our goal list for many years and we are so excited to offer opportunities for other couples and families to build memories here in South Haven too!

Why they chose this property

I do feel like fate was with us in this home purchase - - - We happened upon Sheron, the previous owner, while on a date and riding bikes looking at the beautiful homes on Maple street. Sheron asked us if we were from the area and we immediately enjoyed her company...sharing our dreams of owning a home here. We took a tour of her family home and launched plans to purchase. Such an awesome opportunity and we are beyond excited to finally launch our first VRBO here with South Beach Cottage! Maple Street is the only boulevard in SoHa and it comes with some neat history. In my humble opinion, it sits in the sweet spot of SoHa as it is close enough to the water to hear the waves and close enough to the festivities to walk to. It is perfect!

What makes this property unique

This was a complete remodel project with a new floor containing newly added rooms to this home. All rooms had a make over and all beds, bathrooms, kitchen appliances, countertops and cabinets are brand new. You will LOVE the beach time you get to spend and will LOVE the comfort of a home that is catered to your enjoyment and comfort! My husband and I reside only an hour away, so if an emergency or issue arises, we can be there pretty quickly :)
