Tigh Mhartin is a three-bedroom bungalow situated in Screebe in the heart of Connemara with beautiful sea & mountain views.

It is very peaceful with all amenities closeby

Tigh Mhartin has beautiful scenic walks nearby with Screebe House hunting/fishing lodge, bar and restaurant only a 5 minute walk. Peacocks Hotel & petrol station is 9km, and the Aran Islands Ferry is only 15 km drive.

Connemara Pearse's Cottage is only 5km - This is a new visitor centre in Ros Muc in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht that tells the story of Patrick Pearse, and brings visitors on a journey of discovery through the language, culture and landscape of this stunning part of south Connemara. You will see Teach an Phiarsaigh, the cottage where Patrick Pearse, writer, educator and leader of the 1916 Rising, spent his summers and explore Pearse’s historical and cultural legacy. Take a walk through the bog & learn about contemporary life in Connemara, and how the Irish language, Gaelic sports and traditional music are part of everyday life. Well worth a visit.

This holiday home is a perfect base for touring all that Connemara has to offer along the Wild Atlantic Way.

The bungalow consists of 2 double rooms, 1 single room and 1 full bathroom.

Sitting room with couches 3 x 2 x 1 seater, open fireplace, TV, and 2 windows with beautiful lake & mountain views. Wooden floors.

Master bedroom with window to the back of the house with land views, chest of drawers. Wooden floors.

Double bedroom with window overlooking the front of the house with lake & mountain views. Wooden floors, chest of drawers & fitted wardrobe.

Single bedroom with window overlooking the front with lake & mountain views, wooden floor, fitted wardrobes.

Large fitted kitchen with dining area. Bright and spacious room with 2 windows allowing ample natural light and beautiful scenic views. The kitchen houses a small fridge & separate freezer, electric oven & gas hob, toaster, kettle, microwave (please note no dishwasher). Dining table seating upto 6 guests

Family bathroom with bath, sink & WC. Separate shower unit.

There is a large garage housing a separate washing machine & drier. This area is ideal for storing wet equipment such as dinghies, golf clubs etc.

Ample parking.

Linen and towels are included in the rental rate.

decent position to tour Connemara

Pretty sparse and ugly accommodation but well positioned for tour loops south and north of Clifden., maybe also Lough Corrie. Very grateful to the key holder’s friend for waiting for us with the key. Charming.
