This quaint cottage on Norfork Lake in the AR Ozark Mountains features an incredible, scenic lake/mountain view. This charming 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage features a KING bed in the bedroom and a full bed in the common area, sleeping 4 guests (couch is a full size sleeper). Cottage has L-shaped screened in porch and an excellent view from the bluff of Norfork Lake. Walk (steep) or drive (truck or SUV) down to our private swimming/fishing dock. Relax on a hammock and listen to nature, look a the lake or the stars, view woodland wildlife or enjoy playing basketball, horseshoes, or bag-o with the family! Located just 7 miles outside Mountain Home, AR, next to Bidwell Point Park swim beach, 1/4 mile to 101 Marina for boat rentals and up the road from David's Trail/Panther Bay Park/Launch/Swim Beach. Quiet and Cozy

We loved our cabin. It was cozy and very clean with a beautiful view of the lake. Our hosts were remarkable and friendly. We will definitely be going back for a peaceful get away. The property was impressive and the boat dock was safe and secluded. Great for swimming and fishing. Thank you Jenni for answering our questions and being such a great host. The Wagon Wheel Resort comes highly recommended by us! Thanks again!!

Lake Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint cottage. We spent most of our time on the back screened in porch which had a great lake view. The bed was comfy! It was a short trip to town to eat or shop.

Jenny was very helpful and very friendly. Kids had fun on a tree swing and on the dock on the lake. Beautiful view on a Norfork lake. A lot of things to do close by. We will come back!

Great stay at Wagon Wheel Resort!

Really enjoyed our stay in this VERY clean, well equipped cabin. Had everything we needed including a nice Weber grill. Bed was comfy! The lake view is awesome and it was relaxing to sit outside or in the screened porch after a day of lake fun. Friendly, helpful owners who live on site. Close drive to marinas and Mountain home for supplies or restaurants. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cabin with wonderful view of lake. House fully equipped with everything that you need. Loved the screened in porch in the rain. Hosts are wonderful and responsive. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property with nice owners!!

We needed a little place to stay while visiting family in the area & The Wagon Wheel Resort was perfect!! We had a perfect size cabin with everything we needed including a beautiful view of the lake!! It was cold while we were there so we're hoping to maybe visit again when the weather is warmer & we can enjoy the property more!!

Great Weekend Getaway

Our first time in Gamaliel...Everything we needed was there, right down to paper towel, grilling tongs and coffee filters! Great place, great owners - very friendly and accommodating! Clean, well kept grounds and cottage. Beautiful view of Lake Norfork! Relaxing, enjoyable! We'll be back and we're telling our friends and family what a great place you have! Thanks Jared & Jenni

We are Jared and Jenni Coan. We moved from the Chicago area to put Jared's background in maintenance/construction to use and be self-employed, not long after getting married. We have since welcomed two children and have really involved ourselves in the community. Jared is a volunteer on the local fire department and is the owner of Twin Lakes Home Inspections and UC Construction. Jenni is involved with the Norfork Lake Chamber of Commerce and Lake Norfork Fireworks Association. With both of us being self-employed, raising 2 young children, volunteering within the community, and of course running the resort, we stay quite busy, but wouldn't have it any other way!

Why they chose this property

Jared vacationed on Lake Norfork as a kid and it was his parent's dream when they were about his age to own a resort around here. After a few months of looking, we found the Mountain Home, AR community, and primarily the resort community in Gamaliel to be the right fit for Jenni to be interested in moving and resort ownership. Walking out of cabin 1, the breathtaking lake view, lush landscaping, and accessible wildlife was enough to convince Jenni this was worth moving South for. It has been well worth it!

What makes this property unique

This resort in particular has a lengthy history - a photo hangs in the office of the main building from 1955, when there were merely ferries to take travelers across the lake in to Mountain HOme, AR. Now, there are (2) bridges, which has changed the vacation experience, but not integrity of our quaint resort. The cabins have been renovated, but there is a lot of nostalgia on property still. Our place is conveniently located but offers a lot of privacy, peace, and serenity, with enough to do to keep the kids entertained and plenty of space for outdoor play.
