Amazing family home
This house is stunning. It's one of my favorite places I've stayed. I want to say how responsive the housekeeper, Nigel, is! The true test of a property is when you have problems. First of all, we had received the house rules and Nigel's phone number upon booking. That's the best for a guest - I've stayed a few places where I could only contact the host by email and they never responded. I couldn't phone him so I texted and he responded immediately. He made arrangements with me to come and fix it the next morning while we were out. Thank you so much!
The living space is generous and comfortable, with two seating areas and enough seats at the dining table for 8 (rare, even in a house that fits many people!). There is a shed outside with a ping pong table and mini billiard table so that was really fun.
The kitchen is very well equipped. It has all the necessities for cooking ordinary meals. I love the large island in the middle of the kitchen. There are plastic plates and cutlery for little kids. A highchair is in the dining room.
Two of the four bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with showers. Be aware that no soap or shampoo is provided. All linens are included - which is not the standard in Europe. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are very soft. The curtains are nice nice and heavy but not blackout.
I gave 4 stars for location: lots of road noise and the driveway lets out onto a busy road. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive.
