A great house in a fabulous historical village with everything you need
Father & son on a motorcycling holiday exploring the lakes. Easy access to the Lake District & it’s fabulous attractions. Ideal place to stay has everything you need with local amenities close at hand
We enjoyed a relaxing break in the Lake District. The living area, kitchen and bedrooms are well furnished and comfortable. The bathroom is the downside. It has no windows, an extremely small sink and a claustrophobic shower area in the bath. I m 5’7’’ and it would be difficult to fit in of you’re much taller.
Communication is all automated through a 3rd party company so if you send messages through vrbo they don’t get answered, you need to phone the number to get the phone number of the property manager.
We still enjoyed our break despite these downsides.

The traditional stone built property is ideal for exploring some of the most stunning scenery that the Lake District has to offer. The village itself is beautiful and has traditional pubs, shops and market square. This village is a Gem as it does not suffer overcrowding yet the road links to surrounding villages and towns are perfect for easy access into the Heart of the Lakes. The central location of Broughton-in-Furness means that there is something to explore in every direction, from the Mountains of the South Lakes to the coastline of Western Cumbria. Historic towns such as Ulverston and Coniston are a stones throw away. South Lakes Wild Animal Park is also easily accessible for a family day out at the impressive Zoo, before heading back to Harley House to put your feet up in front of the Log Burning Stove.
