Honeystone Cottage

Other review comments about poor internet (probably the whole village :(, the sitting room low uncomfortable sofas as well as the poor quality lumpy mattress in the 1st bedroom off the kitchen are agreed by our group as well. None of these issues (you might say) should be part of expensive holiday accommodation in 2024 - 2025 and could be addressed. One other issue hygienically wise was the cracked basin in the ensuite upstairs and the shower there needs are really good mould clean. Ambivalent about recommending cottage but will do so but the above feedback needs addressing.... However time was enjoyed there and the weather was great for the time of the year. Efficient heating and all else worked well.

A beautiful quirky property in a pretty village with oodles of space.

Highly recommended, a lovely property, ideal for 3 couples with plenty of space. Only negative is that the mattress in the smallest bedroom needs replacing, very soft in the middle!

Wifi very poor and not as advertised

Wifi poor for even one person let alone five, but that was the only problem in this gorgeous house that had everything but wifi. The setting of the house was great. Recommend the mill Inn for sunday lunch and during the week, it is walkable too.

Beautiful property in a quiet location

We had a wonderful time at Honeystone. The only issue was that the local village had a single pub which was very quiet but the people were lovely. Well placed for a few local walks - out to the Frogmill and back was great. But if you don’t plan on driving anywhere you might find it a bit restrictive. Fabulous accommodation though the WiFi was a bit sketchy- we could cope just fine.

Nice house and garden

We spend a nice week in Honeystone Cottage and used the garden as much as the weather allowed. The house is well equipped, nice furniture and clean. We (two persons and one hound) felt immediatley at home.

Lovely house, but needs better sofas.

We could not use the lounge , the sofa was totally unsuitable, okay for teenagers to lounge on, but not for older adults, far too deep and low. Because of that, we spent all our time in the lovely kitchen where there was a sofa that suited us perfectly, as it was very very comfortable, but sadly no tv, so missed Wimbledon! The kitchen chair seat pads needed a wash, as food stuck on them. If the lounge had different seating, we would return to the cottage for future holidays. The garden was lovely, the house with a few tweaks is lovely too.

A wonderful large and spacious home from home

Honeystone Cottage exceeded all expectations for our family weekend away. The cottage was spacious and very well equipped. Having lots of different seating areas meant that the whole family has the space to do their own thing. The cottage is very well equipped and has everything you need. Thanks for a perfect pre Christmas getaway

A lovely break in Honeystone Cottage

A beautiful cottage in a lovely condition. I cannot fault it. Highly recommended. The only drawback, which has nothing to do with the cottage, was the collection of rubbish. We arrived on a Monday and refuse collection is Tuesday so on our first evening there we put out ALL the rubbish but on return from our outing late Tuesday discovered that only the food waste had been emptied. I then brought back in all the boxes and bags and by the end of our stay the following Monday all rubbish containers were full, . .

Great Stay in the Cotswolds

We had a fantastic stay in Honeystone Cottage!!! The kitchen was so spacious and had all everything you could need. Again bedrooms spacious and comfortable. The whole cottage was homely and inviting and we really enjoyed our stay. Our dog Marley, loved the huge garden! We would 100% recommend and would love to come back.

Honeystone cottage stay

After weeks of looking at cottages so pleased we booked this one. Honeystone cottage was just perfect. A gorgeous cottage kitted out with everything you need for your stay. They’ve thought of everything. Lovely garden too which our dog Piper loved exploring. Location wise it’s great for getting out and about to explore. Most places being about 20-30 mins away by car. We also visited the village pub for an evening meal which is just down the road within walking distance. Highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking. We would definitely go back.

Family Big Birthday.

Stayed here for a few days in August , whilst the weather wasn’t that great there was still plenty to do. Ideally situated in a quiet village. The Mill pub was friendly and welcoming so handy within a short walk. Building work going on nearby but didn’t affect us. House had everything we needed. Easy to find places to visit and things to do. Dog walks on our doorstep.

Beautiful spacious property

This property is absolutely gorgeous and has been sympathetically renovated. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We stayed here as my parents are elderly and needed a bedroom on the ground floor, of which this house has two. It was very well equipped and the bed were comfortable. From my parents point of view the sofas were too low and they struggled to get in and out of them. Maybe a couple of high back chairs in the property would make this perfect for all ages. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your beautiful home. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic Long weekend in beautiful cottage.

We had a wonderful short break. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were perfect for my Mum who is slightly disabled. The other bedrooms were all comfortable and the bathrooms a great size. The kitchen is a lovely family room that has a sofa for everyone to congregate whilst the cooks cook!!! We decided the house was so perfect that we ate all our meals here!!! Location was great for walking and we strolled up to the nearby Roman Villa one day. The garden is large enough to sit out and feel unexposed….with a great patio with table and chairs. Ample parking and very welcoming touches. We will certainly be recommending this place to our friends and hopefully returning.
