Close to Airport

Apartment was reasonably priced and close to the airport. Very convenient for our early morning flight.

The place is ok, but don't expect a lot of communication

Here are the positives: 1. It is a relatively clean place. 2. Neighborhood is easy to get to. 3. Great if you want 10 mins to the airport. Here are the negatives: 1. I didn't hear from the owner for months and then a week before he said we would get directions for entry 24 hours before. About 4 hours before we had nothing and so I asked again and he said they only give out details an hour before. Finally got the details at the last hour. 2. After the details for entry he wanted to know when we were leaving so he could arrange cleaning. 3. You need to hit the breaker for the hot water heater to have a shower about a half hour before the shower. So someone had a shower while we were washing clothes and I put bread in the oven (because there is no toaster) and it turned all the electricity off. 4. When I called about the electricity off he said wait to see if it is an outage. When it wasn't an outage he told me to call the owner and gave me a number. I asked him to contact the owner as we were in a foreign country. 5. About 6 hours later they restored electric. 6. There is one bedroom with a bed. The other bed is a futon in the dining room and there is a foldaway cot in the rafters. Overall it was ok but just know what you are getting into. This guy isn't interested in whether you had a great stay. He is more interested in when you are leaving so he can arrange cleaning.

Stay near Athens airport

We had a late arrival at Athens airport, so chose to stay close by. Airport taxis charged same amount to drive 3 miles as to drive to Athens. Apartment very nice, with high ceilings and well appointed. Took a long time for air conditioning to cool the place off. Next morning’s taxi drive to Athens cost about the same as previous night’s transport. Disappointed
