Für mobile Naturliebhaber

Sehr schön hergerichtetes Haus. Sehr gute Ausstattung: Gasherd, Elektobackofen, Kühlschrank, Gefrierschrank, Moka-Bialetti-Kaffeemaschine. Geschirr, Gläser, Töpfe, Pfanne alles sauber und absolut intakt. Grillen war aufgrund der hohen Waldbrandgefahr nicht gestattet. Tolle Aussicht auf den Lago. Der Weiler besteht nur aus ein paar Häusern man hat hier wirklich Ruhe. Aufgrund der vielen Serpentinen bis zum Haus (längere Anfahrt) sollte man sich bevorraten. Man kann mit dem Auto nicht bis zum Haus fahren. Der Weg bis dorthin ist ca. 150 m auch über Natursteintreppen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vom Haus aus kann man verschiedene -auch anspruchsvollere- Wanderungen starten. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.

wohnen im Paradise Village - aber nicht für jeden geeignet

Schon bei der Auffahrt vom Treffpunkt in Trobaso hinauf zum "Paradise Village" - einem Ensemble aus 5 restaurierten ehemaligen "Rustico" Häuschen wird uns klar: Der Urlaub wird schon alleine durch das Serpentinen-Sträßchen, dass sich in zahlreichen Windungen den Berg hoch schlängelt zum Abenteuer! Das Sträßchen, oftmals nur einspurig mit wenig Ausweichmöglichkeiten und nicht einsehbaren Windungen und Spitzkehren, ist eine Herausforderung - selbst für den geübten hochalpinen Fahrer - zu dem ich mich als Motorradfahrer zähle. Das Sträßchen, im oberen Abschnitt ohne Randsicherung, erfordert höchste Konzentration. Wir hatten das Luxusproblem, dass ich das Motorrad dabei hatte, und meine Frau mit dem Auto fuhr. Alles im 1. Gang geht es die Kehren hinauf bis auf ca. 1000m und unser Ford C-Max passt von der Breite an manchen Stellen gerade noch so auf die Straße. Nur gut, dass die Gegend wenig besiedelt ist, und somit meistens mit wenig bis keinem Gegenverkehr zu rechnen ist! Tipp: Noch vor dem Treffen mit dem Eigentümer - einem sehr sehr netten Signore - im Supermarkt Proviant einkaufen gehen. Es gibt da oben kurz vor dem Wanderparkplatz "Gabbio" nichts außer Natur und Berge! Auch keinen Bäcker, wo man morgens mal schnell Brötchen holen kann gibt es selbst in der wegmitte liegenden Ortschaft "Intragna" nicht. D.h. man bucht hier eine selbstversorger Hütte in den Bergen. Es ist also nichts für Leute, die täglich im Urlaub zum Essen gehen wollen. Niemand fährt gerne dieses Sträßchen
