Great Location

Floors were very dirty and furniture well worn. Great bathroom tho. Layout bit choppy, affecting WiFi coverage, and kitchen area a bit rough. Great location and in/out was easy!

Great location.

The location of the apartment is awesome. Close to everything. Negatives were they lacked some basic amenities. No toaster, no basic condiments, only 2 small wine glasses. Not being picky however most VRBO places have plenty of the basics. Great restaurants right downstairs

Duomo stay

Great location was within walking distance to everything. Great neighborhood lots of great restaurants nearby. The place could use some additional dishes and glassware and provide some additional amenities would have been helpful and nice.

Disappointing accommodation

Let me start with the only positives. Its in a fabulous location, on the first floor (2nd by US standards) and Diana who met us was very accommodating. The rest was very disappointing. No soap - no hand/body soap for 2 bathrooms or dish soap. Refrigerator hadn't been wiped out and freezer hadn't been defrosted since the 90s No trash cans in either bathroom. Previous guests had used drawers in a chest in the bathroom for a trashcan. Only trashcan in the place was in the kitchen and had a liner that wasn't big enough and it smelled. No toaster. Difficult time plugging electrical things into outlets.Bed had been put in a different place per Diana who let us in. When my husband layed down on it the mattress collapsed to the floor as the supports underneath were out of place. Same happened to me the next day. Couch was made up as a bed and in a weird place in the living room. (We had reserved it for a couple). Backs of very rickety dining room chairs were falling off. The owner needs to spend some money on updates and possibly review their cleaning company. We have stayed in lovely VRBO locations in Italy and this was awful. Gave it 2 stars only because of location and the helpful Diana.

This property is extremely unique. We called it our own personal monastery due to the beautiful curved walls and the ringing of cathedral bells in the area. We had no hot water for a couple of days in the kitchen or 2nd bathroom but once the building maintenance man was alerted he fixed the issue. He did a fantastic job of filling us in on boilers, windows and the history of the building! This property would be excellent with a few issues corrected: a cutting board, more than 1 barh towel for 6 days, a dish cloth and dish soap, a teflon frying pan that is NOT all scratched up. Owners should include a Welcome Info Sheet on use of stove etc and expectations upon visitor departure.

Nice spot!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here in March! It is close to the Duomo but you're removed from the busy areas. It is one level above the street so there is noise from motorbikes & the restaurant below when it closes up but its not constant. You don't have to climb many stairs which is a plus. Note that there is only one wall in the living area with any windows and they face an alley street so there is not much natural light but that's nice for sleeping. We loved having two bathrooms to get ready for the day and the towels are generous in size. The main bed is low to the floor so if you have issues getting up/down it could be a problem but didn't bother us. There is no coffee maker which was surprising. We did not hear back from the host(s) when we asked a question prior to booking or when we arrived & tried to figure out how to check in. Admittedly we arrived 2 hours earlier than expected that day so that complicated things. Please note if you are looking at the building numbers to find the place there are two 44s on the street! One is a closed real estate office and the other is the actual apartment building entrance. We would stay again.

Very nice accommodation

I was there for 10 days. Very nice apartment with excellent location. Dark entrance ..but the switch is behind the door when you get in from the street and also by the elevator. Has a funky smell at the entrance but not in the apartment. We had to go mosquito hunting on the first night.. it was terrible we got 8+ so don’t open the windows or kill them all before you go to bed.!!😃

Fantastic location, decent living space.

Overall, a decent place to stay, and plenty of space. The host never responded to my inquiry about the water heater for the main shower. By the second night, we got it working and was able to shower in the main bathroom which had more ample space and the better shower head than the secondary shower. The location is fantastic, and just far away enough from the Duomo so you could enjoy a peaceful night's rest. Florence is small enough to literally walk everywhere a tourist would typically want to see in a few days time. The staircase to the unit has unreliable lighting so it was pitch black. It was on one time we headed up the stairs, but on our way back out, it was out again. Good thing I always carry my handy Streamlight. If you do stay here and have mobility issues, bring a flashlight or use your smart phone. But I still recommend this place!
