Located up on the west cliff in Whitby, with glimpses of the sea from the large bay window in the open plan living area as well as abbey views from the kitchen window.. All on the First Floor:

No smoking.. You are in an ideal position to enjoy all the attractions in Whitby, including the golden beach which is less than a 10-minute walk away. Stepping inside Stanton House the communal staircase leads you up to the first-floor apartment. Your private hallway leads you into the beautifully presented open plan living area, here you have large floor to ceiling bay windows bathing the room in light, as well as giving guests a glimpse of the sea, as the cliff top is only a short distance from the row of these handsome Victorian townhouses. You also benefit from having the view of the gothic church opposite, plus the abbey views from the kitchen, so you are surrounded by inspirational sights.
The owners have carefully chosen furnishings to add a touch of luxury to your stay as well as ensuring you can relax in the highest level of comfort. There is a large sofa and chair in front of the gas fire and TV, with a dining table in the centre of the room. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything needed to create your favourite home cooked meals. There are three bedrooms on either side of the living area, giving the master bedroom added privacy. The master bedroom boasts a kingsize bed, plus there is a double bedroom as well as a single bedroom. The bathroom has both a free-standing bath as well as a cubicle shower so you can have a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower.

Many guests return to Whitby year after year as there are so many sights, attractions, and fascinating history to discover. Whitby is a proud seafaring town, with a colourful history; you can find out more at the museums or even first-hand up at the abbey ruins. Walk through the whale bone archway on the West Cliff or visit the shipwreck on Saltwick Bay and look up into the cliffs to spot the smugglers’ tunnels. For those who wish to experience the wonders of this inspiring area, why not walk amid the scenic beauty of the North York Moors National Park, which can be accessed by the heritage steam train winding its way through the rolling hills of heather.
You can also explore quaint coastal villages such as Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes or Runswick Bay. Take in the sights along the seafront at Filey, Scarborough or Saltburn. And if you’re a history buff, take a trip into York to soak up the culture brought by both the Romans and the Vikings. Closer to home, you are just a leisurely stroll away from the many attractions the popular seaside town of Whitby has to offer, including the long golden stretch of sandy beach, the 199 steps up to the St Mary’s Church perched on the cliff top, the boat trips around the bay and the freshly caught seafood which can be enjoy in many award-winning restaurants.

Very muxed

Kitchen equipment very limited- odd wine glasses, only 5 cutlery etc Bedding. Un ironed in double rooms . Towels stained and grey . But then furnishings were lovely so very mixed - just needs a gd clean—- mirrors , tv lampshades were filthy . Location was great
