Good fishing opportunities in rivers and water. 11.5 km to Utvik and swimming opportunities from boulders/sandy beach and jetty. 6 km to Byrkjelo with grocery store and restaurant. 18 km to Sandane with shops, liquor store, great hiking opportunities in Trivselsskogen, and cultural activities and swimming pool in Trivselshagen. Winter activities: 2.5 km to ski lifts/alpine, cross-country trails and light trails at Breimsbygda ski center. 42.5 km to the world's steepest commuter track, Loen Skylift, with a fantastic view. Briksdalsbreen, an arm of Jostedalsbreen, is in the innermost part of Oldedalen approx. 58 km by car from the holiday home and a hike for 6-7 km in beautiful nature to see the glacier. 11.5 km to the mooring, in Utvik.
