Bowness forms part of the gateway to the lakes offering easy access to other popular towns by car including, Ambleside, Grasmere, Staveley and Kendal and of course easy access to other popular walks in the area including meanders around lakes or up the fells.
Bowness on Windermere is also popular by night offering a wealth of delightful restaurants and bars as well as takeaway options should you prefer a quiet night in.
