About this property
Klima - Two Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 4
Open plan living/dining room (TV, WiFi, DVD) with doors to terrace. Kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher). Double bedroom (A/C) with doors to terrace. Shower room. Twin room (A/C) with doors to patio. Bathroom (washing machine). Outside: In-built barbecue. Open and covered terraces. Private parking. Private heated* swimming pool (8m x 5m).
Framed by countless olive, pine and cypress trees, the most amazing views are yours to enjoy at Klima. Taking full advantage of the property’s spectacular, elevated situation a mesmerising panorama across the cobalt sea of the Corfu Channel towards the Albanian mountains spreads out from the windows and pool terrace of this comfortable house.
Unfurling uphill from the appealing cove beach, Nissaki runs at a quiet effortless pace and is a virtual microcosm of a typical Greek village. A church, several mini-markets, some local Kafenions and an excellent bakery serving tasty pastries are within a few hundred metres, all conveniently close at hand yet never intruding on Klima’s tranquil ambience. Tavernas, too, are nearby with three beachside and two more just above the small pebble beach of Skinos, about a 300m stroll downhill.
Internally, the fresh contemporary décor creates a peaceful cosy atmosphere with doors from the open plan living area inviting you out directly to the pool terrace. The comfortable bedrooms are both airy and bright and each also enjoys direct exterior access. Next to the private pool, the charming patio is a particularly peaceful spot in which to sit back, enjoy a good book and admire the attractive curved coastline spreading out below. Entwined around the pergola and providing leafy shade, fragrant wisteria yields its dusky mauve flowers in the spring, remaining verdant even through the peak summer months. On the opposite side of Klima, enhanced by bamboo awnings, the barbecue and dining terrace often catch a gentle offshore breeze making them the perfect spot for enjoying freshly grilled meals of tasty local produce.
Nissaki’s pretty horseshoe bay is delightful; a great location for passing long, lazy days, enjoying a swim and the fruits of the beachfront tavernas. Maybe hire a little boat to explore the rugged shoreline discovering hidden bays where cars have limited, often no, access as well as appealing coastal hamlets such as Aghios Stefanos, Kaminaki, Kerasia and Kalami.
Inland the sleepy hinterland houses tiny mountain villages, crumbling whitewashed monasteries and countless ‘secret’ hamlets where elderly ladies still dress in traditional black as they go about their business. Scattered around the countryside are many wonderful walking trails that showcase the breathtaking natural beauty of Corfu.
*The pool can be heated for a local rate of €400 per week paid directly to the housekeeper. At least one weeks’ notice is required for the heating to be fully effective. Property licence number: MHTE 0829K122K0380700
Please note: The Greek Government charge a Climate Tax which is payable by guests staying in hotels and other properties. For Klima the charge is a flat rate of €15 (£13.04) per night. For your convenience we will add this amount to your booking, rather than you having to pay it in resort.
