About this property

A beautiful rare find with beautiful walks.

Ysgubor is a gorgeous retreat from the outside world. Set on an old organic farm on the ruggedly beautiful Pembrokeshire coast it's the perfect spot to escape from the outside world.

Ysgubor is a beautifully renovated Welsh barn, perfect for two. Close to the lovely village of St Dogmaels and the market town of Cardigan plus miles of gorgeous unspoiled coastal wilderness to explore. Think rugged cliffs, miles of sandy beaches and hidden coves. You'll leave Ysgubor feeling refreshed and revitalised.

Ysgubor has a large open plan living space with sofas, record player, smart TV, bespoke birch ply kitchen equipped with all that you could need including crockery, utensils, pots and pans. There is a full sized fridge, a smeg gas hob, grill and oven plus a toaster and microwave.

There is also a gorgous mezzanine level which hosts a lovely little reading cwtch perfect for whiling away those peaceful holiday hours.

You will have a beautiful king size bed which boasts french doors onto the private enclosed garden plus a shower room right next door.

The garden is totally enclosed and surrounded by trees and fields on one side meaning total privacy and peace during your stay. Deck chairs and outdoor furniture are provided.

Layout

The entire building is a renovated corn store, with original features throughout, it is light and airy with the feeling of space. The main living space is an open plan living area with gorgeous bespoke birch ply kitchen and a mezzanine reading space above. Through to the back of the building is the shower room & bedroom.

Sleeping Arrangements

Y Sgubor has a beautiful bespoke built king size bed with french doors out on to your own private courtyard.

Exterior

This property is the left half of the converted barn . Parking is directly outside. There is an enclosed gravelled garden to the rear of the property, accessed through the house.

Getting there

The post code for some reason directs SAT NAV's to the farm just before Foxhill which has a sign on the gate for Ysgubor Hen. This is the wrong place. You'll be on the right lane, but you're looking for stone pillars either side of a cattle grid with a metal sign on them saying Foxhill. Take this lane, not Ysgubor Hen.

Accessibility

Although Y Sgubor is nearly all on the ground floor apart from the mezzanine reading level, there are two steps up to the bathroom and bedroom.

Lovely cottage/barn in a peaceful environment and close enough to nearest town of St Dogmaels.

We had a great time, the cottage/barn is very spacious for two and had everything we needed (although a bit more cutlery and crockery would be good). The location is great if you want to be in a peaceful and private environment. The nearest town of St Dogmaels is just 5mins away by car or 15mins on foot and has lovely pubs and the really nice Poppit beach (15mins drive) nearby. All in all had a great time!

Spacious, peaceful, well-equipped.

A lovely, spacious, airy barn conversion in a quiet, peaceful spot outside St Dogmaels. Big comfy bed, well-equipped kitchen, an unusual mezzanine floor with an interesting selection of books, and even a record player and a vinyl collection. Wonderful. Check the dresser drawers for board games. Poppit beach a ten miute drive away, Pentre Ifan a short drive. We honestly could not have been happier.
