Lovely Stay

This was a wonderful, charming stay for a Cotswolds trip! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage itself is adorable. The kitchen was very well stocked (including coffee, tea, spices, etc.) I especially enjoyed the cozy fireplace during my winter stay. The host was very helpful and responsive. In terms of the area, there’s a nice pub just a short walk up the hill and great access to walking trails just steps outside the cottage. You will need to travel to other larger villages for additional shops (Bourton-on-the-Hill really just has the one pub). The only downside, and I hesitate to call it that, is that the road outside the cottage was busier than I expected and you could hear some traffic noise at times from fast cars driving through, so probably not the best option if you’re looking for something completely remote. Thanks for a great stay!

Delightful Cotswold’s Cottage

Gleneda Cottage is the perfect Cotswold get-away. It has a warm inviting feeling, is tastefully decorated, very clean with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. The garden is lovely to sit in and we enjoyed it after a day of exploring the area and taking long walks on the near by hiking paths. The hostess was easy to reach, left concise instructions on how the laundry etc worked. We were 4 adults and we never felt crowded. A delightful place to stay completely fulfilled my idea of a Cotswold cottage.

quaint and comfortable

We had a lovely stay. Very charming cottage with every thing we needed for a cozy stay. It needs to be said that the beds are so comfortable, and the bedding was so cozy. Our whole family agreed that we slept by far the best at this home on our England trip. Kitchen gets so much natural light and we all enjoyed reading by the fire at night. Neighborhood is very quiet. Kitchen was well equipped. Thanks for letting us stay!

Lovely Cottage

This cottage was absolutely perfect! We loved exploring the Cotswolds having the cottage as our base. The Horse and Groom up the street was the perfect local pub. We were just a quick drive from numerous beautiful Cotswolds villages. The cottage is gorgeous and so well kept. The kitchen is perfectly outfitted to make a meal in, which we did one evening. Bed are super comfy and the two bathrooms was a definite plus with two teenage daughter. We hope when our daughter does her semester abroad to stay there again in a couple years.

Cotswolds Perfection

About twenty minutes after settling into the chair in the bay window with a book, a glass of complimentary bubbles, and a beautiful sunset view, I asked my partner an important question: "Can we live here?" Gleneda Cottage is like the Cotswolds itself: exactly as wonderful as described, except the parts that are even better. Cozy, charming, gorgeously decorated, and everything you were looking for for your fairytale Cotswolds visit. I wish I'd stayed longer, and I'd go back tomorrow if I could. Two things to be aware of. First, the bus stop across the street was totally dead all weekend we were there, and taxis were hard to come by and £15-30 each way to the nearest town. Plan travel accordingly. Second, the pub just up the hill (which was very convenient and beautiful) was closed when we were there, and that left nowhere for food except going back to Moreton-in-Marsh (at the aforementioned high rate). So be sure to check on this before you arrive if you don't have your own transportation! None of that detracts whatsoever from what will always be the best vacation stay I can remember. Do it!!!

Cotswold Cottage 10 day stay.

Carie Ann was helpful, the cottage was well appointed. Looked beautiful. It snowed during our stay, it was picture postcard with and without the snow. We did hire a car which made it quicker and easier to see the surrounding villages.
