Seafarer's - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 7
Located to the south of the harbour in what’s known as the old quarter of Seahouses, this traditional style cottage is close to the heart of this busy fishing village with the restaurants, shops and golf course just a minute’s walk away. Another attraction right on your doorstep is the harbour with its bright and cheery boats bobbing around and offering boat trips to The Farnes islands where you may be lucky enough to glimpse the local wildlife; puffins, terns, osprey, grey seals and occasionally dolphins all occupy this area.
The beach, not too far away, is a wonderful place for young families where you can have fun in the rockpools or make a sandcastle before heading back into town where there's a range of restaurants and pubs to suit everyone. Add to that ice cream parlours and fish and chips where you can really get your teeth into that authentic seaside holiday. Swallow Fish smokehouse is a favourite for many locals.
Inside the cosy property is a wood-burning stove and a light open-plan living space decorated with the owner’s favourite artwork and a guitar and accordian if you’re feeling musically inclined. Views across the rooftops and out towards the sea, rocks and harbour can be seen from the bedrooms, open up the window and let in a fresh waft of the sea air.
