Walks can be had directly from the garden out into the forest.
The Forest of Dean is bordered by the Wye Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and the River Severn. In this compact area there are outdoor activities in abundance including horse riding, golf, fishing, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking and rock climbing. Wonderful walks with stunning scenery await you within the forest and the Wye Valley, and every season has a beauty of its own. Time your stay to coincide with the Severn Bore, one of the natural wonders of the world. There are numerous fun places to visit with attractions such as GoApe, Puzzlewood, Tintern Abbey, Dean Forest Steam Railway, Dean Heritage Centre, Clearwell Caves and the Sculpture Trail.
