Two general stores, a newsagents, a Post Office, a butchers, two pubs, one hotel, one cafe, and a fish and chip restaurant can be found in the village. It is surrounded by beautiful landscape and offers a variety of walking paths, including the Berwyn Ridge Walk and a pathway to the top of the waterfall. The picturesque Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, Powys Castle and Gardens, ancient Shrewsbury and Chester, and the magnificent Snowdonia National Park are all worth seeing.
