Give the Hilltop a Try
We loved the place. It's prettier in person than in pictures. Taking a shower in the bathroom w the tub presented challenges upon challenges, but the other bathroom was fine. Spacious, clean, sort of elegant, and comfortable. I was very disappointed that the terrace, which was so prominently featured and proudly photographed in the vrbo listing is not attached to the apartment. The incredible views are what I used to talk my partner and parents into staying up in Castelleto neighborhood- with diminished restaurant and stopping opportunities. I'd convinced everyone that the tradeoff would be worthwhile. Imagine having drinks on the magnificebt terrace while preparing dinner or readying to go out. It was a lovely idea supported by the numerous pictures in the listing. Sadly, only upon arriving I realized that the terrace is a floor above the apartment, through a dubious little utility door. I had a hard time talking anyone into joining me, it was too far away to be useful. I do feel that the remote location of the terrace should have been aparent in the listing. It should also be noted that restaurant nearby are limited, close early or open late. We were there for the time leading up to and after Christmas, which I assume had something to do w it. We found many more options cliser to the city center, but were often too tired to venture so far...So, we cooked at home more often than we would have liked.
