The Lodge was in a beautiful location and we enjoyed our stay. It was easy to check in and the directions were straightforward.
Host had created a very useful booklet detailing where everything was and giving local walks and attractions

No stay lodge
The lodge had been double booked so another family was already settled into the lodge when I arrived with my two children and family dog. My sister and brother in law arrived from a long journey from Oxford shortly after with their dog. We were planning to celebrate a special birthday and wanted this quite stay after our recent family bereavement. This was extremely disappointing to say the least. The lady owner did her best to accommodate us and profusely apologised. The booking system has let all of us down on this occasion and has made me hesitant to book in the future.
Everything was spot on, we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and the owner was very helpful indeed.
One slight issue was on arrival when we couldn’t get through the barrier for the site as no-one answered on the advertised numbers. In the end we had to tailgate someone to get in.
Apart from that small issue, a very good stay.
