Cosy, comfortable and peaceful cottage.
Lovely cottage that is well placed to access both coastal and inland attractions. Perfect for us and two dogs. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stay here - this was our third visit.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful rural location
Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Great log burner for those colder nights. Very practical for the dogs. Well located for the Northumberland Coast or inland to the Cheviots. Very friendly and helpful owners next door.

Such a wonderful place in a beautiful area
The house is beautiful and we had a great stay. We’ve been recommending the cottage left right and centre to friends. Only slight down side was the poor water pressure in the shower but otherwise a perfect stay.

Immaculate home from home accommodation in a beautiful setting.
We loved its ‘get away from it all’ location surrounded by beautiful countryside but not too far from the A1 for exploring Northumberland. The cottage was cosy and immaculate with absolutely everything we needed. Having a dog, we loved having our own pretty garden too.

The Idyllic Hetton Byre!
We had the most wonderful stay, once again, at Hetton Byre. This trip was our second in just under a year and it somehow managed to exceed the last one. Mike and Debs are so welcoming, friendly and honestly couldn’t do more for us.

Another amazing stay at Hetton Byre with fabulous hosts, we can't wait until our next stay
Perfect cosy cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside but within really easy reach of the coastline. This is our 4th time staying here we love it so much and can't wait until we're back again. The cottage is super dog friendly and has everything that you could need. It really is a home away from home. The owners Deb and Mike are brilliant, so friendly and welcoming and they are on hand for any queries and recommendations of places to visit. Could not recommend this cottage highly enough

Beautiful cottage tucked away in the heart of northumberland
Excellent stay with homely touches providing logs, wine and milk. Comfy cottage with underfloor heating efficiently sourced, soft bed sheets and Bluetooth speaker. The cottage has everything you need for a cosy getaway. Perfectly dog friendly too with an enclosed safe garden. Only hesitation is warning guests accessing the cottage is via man made roads with very large pot holes and icy in the weather so to drive safely!

A beautiful rural location, peaceful and comfortable 😊
The location, a comfortable bed, the log burner with a good supply of logs, helpful property & locality information pack, good communications & prompt responses from owners with any queries. Our request for a late check out was accommodated. A gated small outdoor area which meant our dog could pop out when needed.
