About this property
Host & Stay | The Cinder Track Hideaway
Summary:
The Cinder Track Hideaway is a penthouse apartment in a quiet rural setting, yet only a 10-minute walk to Whitby Harbour. The perfect base for families and couples wanting to explore all that Whitby has to offer, The Cinder Track Hideaway has everything you need to make the most of your self-catering stay on the North Yorkshire coast. With views over the Cinder Track, a former railway, there is quick access to keen walkers and cyclists looking to enjoy their time on the coast.
The Space:
The Cinder Track Hideaway is tastefully decorated with unique interiors and furnishings throughout. As soon as you step foot into the apartment, you’ll feel at home.
With a comfy sofa, seaside themed features and a flat screen TV, the living room is a cosy space to relax. You can enjoy incredible views across the River Esk and Larpool Viaduct from the french doors and juliet balcony.
Kick back on the sofa after a long day of exploring Whitby or gather your friends and family together for games and laughter. Also sharing this space is the dining area which is a minimalistic space. The dining table is ideal for family breakfasts and meals with friends. There is a real focus on spending quality time with loved ones at The Cinder Track Hideaway.
In the kitchen, glossy kitchen cabinets are paired with modern appliances. A neutral colour scheme works with the brown wooden worktops. It is as charming as it is practical with a dishwasher, fridge, washing machine, cooker, kettle, microwave and toaster.
In The Cinder Track Hideaway you’ll find two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have a relaxing and homely feel. You can expect a relaxing night’s sleep as each room has comfortable beds and quality linen. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, whilst the second is a twin.
The bathroom has a monochromatic style with white tiles and shiny white facilities such as the bathtub, which has an overhead shower. There is also a wash basin and WC.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the apartment are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There is a designated parking bay for guest use outside the property building.
The Neighborhood:
The Cinder Track Hideaway is located on the West side of Whitby. Head to Pier Road and you’ll find cosy pubs and restaurants as well as fun arcades. Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.
Head over the swing bridge and you’ll find yourself on the East side of town which is full of narrow, mediaeval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. You’ll be amongst plenty of history on the East side of town. Whitby Abbey was originally a 7th-century monastery and it even went on to inspire Bram Stoker’s famous gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
The centre of Whitby is a short ten-minute walk from The Cinder Track Hideaway.
Whitby train station is a mile away on foot so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
