About this property

Room # 2 in Eclectic Historical Home (and Winery) Blocks Away From Downtown

Each listing is for a single bedroom rental within my downtown Napa home...Goddess Cove. Goddess Cove is located in oldtown Napa just a few blocks walking distance to the Napa Downtown Riverfront promenade where world famous restaurants, boutiques, and retail businesses are located in historic landmark buildings. This area offers entertainment, fine dining and numerous wine bars and tasting rooms. Also, within walking distance to this Victorian home is the Oxbow Market containing a farmer's market, numerous restaurants, specialty coffee shops, and other unique small shops. The Napa Wine Train is located across the street from the Westin Hotel where the Michelin starred La Toque Restaurant is located just a short walk from the house.

This home is located directly across the street from the nationally known Vinoce/Twenty Rows Winery which is solely owned and operated by the Nuss Family who is famous for their Mt. Veeder wine.

This 1885 Victorian house is on the local Napa list for historical homes and has been in the process of historical preservation/renovation for the past 15 years.

Room #2 will be your room during your stay. Located on the first floor of our home, it is the only bedroom located on that floor. Just steps away is an onyx tiled bathroom with a bathtub and a handheld shower head. It contains a double bed which sleeps two comfortably and antique furnishings. The room has both decorative and stained glass windows and includes your own private closet.

The first floor of this home contains two fireplaces, one in the dining room and the other in the parlor, a Struss Chandelier, an antique dining room table and breakfront cabinet from the Graeser Winery, a hand carved wooden door with wood cuts displaying the Renaissance era of wine-making techniques, and other art pieces. A stained glass mural is above the dining room fireplace hearth which is illuminated by interior "hidden" lighting behind it.

The flooring is exotic hand-laid tiger wood with each piece of wood measured and specifically chosen for its individual unique "tiger-stripped" design and length to be placed on the floor as a single plank.

There is a secluded front patio covered by passion vines and a shelter. In this secluded area are comfortable chairs and a patio table.
Have dog on premises outside only .
WIFI is available as well as two landlines and a fax machine.

The entire property is surrounded by wrought iron fencing and stone walls for privacy. There is ample curb side parking.

Hidden Napa Treasure

Staying here with Colleen was a fantastic experience! The property is gorgeous, and has seemingly endless character and unique touches. The location is insanely convenient - just a 10-15 minute walk from transit, restaurants, and the river park. Colleen is a phenomenal host - very attentive, very prepared, and a fantastic person overall. Would definitely stay here again!

Great wine and better people!

Beautiful house, stunning, antique, furniture, and a very safe neighborhood. But the best part about the staying here were the people we met and the stories we heard. Colleen and the other people on the property were so welcoming and kind. One of my favorite parts of our visit to Napa was spending time with them drinking wine on the patio and making new friends!

Cute, Fun, and Convenient Stay in Downtown Napa

We really enjoyed this beautifully restored 19th century victorian home, located just a few blocks from downtown Napa and a quick walk to Oxbow Market and the Napa Train. The hostess was kind, helpful, and fun to get to know. Highly recommend as an affordable and convenient option!

Absolutely Wonderful!!!!!

This property is wonderful. It is a little quirky, but that is easily overcome with how pleasant and reactive Colleen was. She was so excited for us to be visiting Napa and did everything she could to help us make the most out of our trip. We had the entire main floor to ourselves and everything was comfortable and clean. We welcomed us when we arrived and checked in multiple times to ensure we were doing well. If you are looking for a unique and affordable place to stay in Napa, this is the place. Don't miss out!!!!! Thank you, Colleen!!!!!!

Amazing vacation

Colleen is an amazing host! She is a warm, gentle, and caring person and that showed in her concern about our comfort during the stay. She also provided great recommendations of places to go for a great glass of wine. You should definitely stay at Goddess Cove. We did not want to leave and certainly will be back.

Wonderful Stay

Colleen was a wonderful host. We so enjoyed our time here, and will absolutely be back in the future! The location is very close to everything. Staying in this unique and eclectic home was every bit of fun we had hoped it would be. Colleen and Mr. Graeser had terrific stories, and were generous enough to share their experiences and wine with us on the patio in the evenings.

Long Weekend in Napa

Our stay with Colleen and Mr. Graser was wonderful. They were very accommodating and we enjoyed sharing their wine with them up on our arrival. The house is in a great location, walk-able to downtown and the Wine Train. Street parking was no issue for our entire stay. We would absolutely stay again.

Great location and fabulous host!

First time to visit Napa and had the most fabulous time! Colleen was an amazing host and her place is incredible. She is so knowledgeable of the area and wine, learned so much and had some great laughs! Our room was perfect and she let us sample some of her wine too! Will definitely go back and would always stay at Colleen's 😊

Perfect location & unique experience

This VRBO is perfectly located near downtown Napa, the wine train, Oxbow Market, the farmers market, and more! The host was very responsive, kind, and had lots of great suggestions and tips for the area. It truly felt like staying with a friend. Listing is accurate and the price is something you’re not going to get anywhere else in Napa. Also the house is gorgeous and so unique, it’s like staying in a museum. 10/10 will come back and stay here on our next trip to Napa!

The most amazing place from head to toe! We will be back for sure!

Where do I start! We had the most amazing time here. Having never been to Napa or Northern California at all; this was the best place we could have ended up. This property has character that is unexplainable, and the best hosts ever. We are already planning our next visit out here and will absolutely be booking here again. The charm, the welcoming, the quality time can not be replicated anywhere else.

Great experience

Colleen was a great host and we loved talking to her and Mr Graeser the night we arrived. They were super helpful with suggestions for places to visit and Colleen even got us into the Winery down the street without reservations. The place is exactly how it is described in the listing (the shower situation is a bit quirky, but no big deal). Fantastic location - incredibly walkable to just about everything in town. Great price and location for a visit to Napa.

Highly recommended

We stayed at Goddess Cove December 2022. We wanted to experience staying at a unique property instead of a national chain hotel. Goddess Cove with Richard and Colleen exceeded all expectations!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had the most fun hanging out with our hosts! We toured vineyards during the day and drank Richard’s wine with them at night. An unforgettable stay and we highly recommended Goddess Cove and it’s phenomenal hosts Richard and Colleen!

Unforgettable!

One of the best decisions we made for our trip was choosing to stay at Goddess Cove. Our stay exceeded all expectations, which were already high based off all the personality shown in the listing. Colleen was very accommodating; she had great communication with booking and check-in and immediately made us feel welcome when we arrived. She also gave us some great recommendations for both wine and food. The house is beautiful inside and out, full of fun details that truly make this place one of a kind. The highlight of our stay however was getting to sit down with both Colleen and Mr. Graeser to taste their homemade wine and listen to the fascinating life stories they had to share. These people and this house made our already amazing trip an unforgettable one. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
