1938 Home In The Heart Of Lander

This is a Montgomery Wards kit home that was brought in by train. It is located on one of the oldest streets in town. You are 3 blocks from Main Street and only 5 from our beautiful city park were the popoagie river runs. This home is 3 levels with lots of stairs. On the top floor there are two bedrooms king size bed and a queen size bed with one full bath and a 1/2 bath. 4 can sleep on this level. The main level has 1 bedroom with a pull out couch. This is a full size and 2 people can sleep on this level. There is a 1/2 bath also. The basement has a bedroom with a queen size bed and a full bathroom. There is also a Day bed off of the living room which can sleep 1. The basement sleeps 3. This house has beds for 9 total. The kitchen table has 8 chairs. And there are two living rooms. The basement living room has a surround sound for movie viewing. Nice large yard with a bbq grill and a 6 person hot tub. At times the wild life is in or around the yard.

Like an HGTV Dream Home

This wonderful, historic home in the fun and funky town of Lander, Wyoming exceeded all of our expectations. It has been lovingly renovated to impeccable standards by a host who should have her own HGTV show. The interiors are fun, comfortable and stylish and very, very CLEAN. Lovely grounds, beautiful neighborhood, short walk to main street. This property is a gem!

Family trip to watch rodeo

Terrific home for a family or friends

The host is committed to providing a "home away from home" - hot tub, fire pit, close to the park and downtown, very clean, host is very responsive and helpful. We hope to be able to stay here every summer!

Great stay in Lander

Tara communicated well with us prior to and during our stay. The home is well suited for family and/or friends. It is well located in Lander with convenient walking access to the Main Street. Lander was wonderful and we will definitely visit again.

Wonderful home and fantastic host

This clean, comfortable, colorful home was ideal for our trip to Lander. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well-equipped kitchen. The host was wonderful - very responsive and made sure that we had everything we needed for the stay. We would love to stay again if we return to Lander.

Terrific family home

This is our third time staying at this home - terrific location, a few blocks both from the the City park and downtown. Huge yard with games, hot tub, BBQ, outdoor seating, and comfortable space for indoors. The host is very responsive and even came quickly to rescue us when we locked ourselves out. We hope to make this an annual vacation at this home!

We so enjoyed our 4 night stay at Tara's home. It truly felt like "home away from home." The location was perfect for walks to the park, trips up to Sinks Canyon, & early morning walks though the lovely neighborhood. Tara was kind & made us feel very welcome.

I loved this place so much! It was so tastefully designed and comfortable for myself, my two grown children and their spouses. Lander is a lovely gateway to exciting outdoor adventures and this place was perfect for a home base. I will be returning.

Beautifully updated 1938 Montgomery Ward kit home.

This home was historically interesting, and beautifully updated inside. It is spacious -- we were there for a wedding with our three adult children and a grandchild, with everyone comfortable. Tara was a very accommodating host, who communicated promptly, even while away on her own vacation.

Perfect home for our family!

We loved this house, its backyard and proximity to town and playground! Everything was very clean and neat - a welcome place to rest our heads after a long day traveling. The backyard was a big plus for our three kids who loved the play house and trampouline! Our daughter spent hours playing with all of the dolls and doll clothes - heaven for her! We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you so much Tara!

Great stay in Lander

The house was even more lovely than expected. Tara has taken a lot of care with the décor, the furnishings, and the yard. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything you would need to make yourself at home. The location was great. An easy walk to the downtown. Tara was very available and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting this region. Thank you, Tara.

Wonderful home away from home

We had a great stay at Tara's home, which is wonderfully located within walking distance of Lander's downtown, playgrounds, and parks. The home is very comfortable, with all the amenities you'd have in your own home. Sheets, blankets, pillows, kitchen stuff - the home is well stocked and we had everything we needed for our week long stay. The home is large and well-laid out, which allowed our large party (our family of 5, a set of grandparents, and a set of friends) to spread out comfortably. The beautiful back yard and wonderful host were the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

In Lander for a wedding

This is a great VRBO rental. It served all our needs and more. We were a mixed group, 4 Seniors, 2young parents , a 3 yr. old and a 1yr. old. Tara could have not been more helpful showing us what the house had to offer. No complaints. The street is quiet and the yard great for kids to run around in. The next time we are in Lander this is the first place I would try to stay

Over the Top!!

This house was amazing!! We loved everything about it! It had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen with tons of counter space. It was perfect for a large group with plenty of bathrooms to accommodate everyone. We loved the outdoor patio in the back! It was so peaceful with lots of flowers and tons of privacy. The park and river are just down the street and the house is in an adorable part of town. Tara was very accommodating and great to work with. We have stayed at lots of VRBOs and this one was truly one of our favorites! Thanks so much Tara :)

Awesome property!

We had 5 children ages 12 years down to 1 year old. The property was beautifully kept and the fenced in yard was such a blessing to have. Tara was very helpful at check-in and went above and beyond to prepare the property for our arrival a whole day early. The beds were very comfortable and the home was exceptionally clean. Tara was very kind to inform us of the steps in the home and so we were able to bring a tension baby gate. She was more than willing to allow us to use it. The property was close enough to town that we walked everywhere, including the grocery store and the city park. The home is also closely located to Sinks Canyon and the older children were able to go to the top of Sinks Canyon with my husband and back down to the home on their mountain bikes. I would highly recommend this property.

So convenient and beautiful

When I saw the lovely pictures online, I thought that this would be the perfect place for my family over the holidays. Warm, inviting, and clearly a very serious owner who takes care of all the things you would expect. I was right. But, what I learned when I arrived, was that much of the elegant art featured throughout the home was made by members of the family. It was a very nice touch. This was such a delightful place to sip my coffee, while the kids played happily in various nooks of the house. The whole house was very cozy but also very functional. Very clean, and easy to figure out. It was centrally located. I could walk to the great bagel place on Main Street, and get to my relatives, who lived near the hospital. Did I say no traffic? The kids' favorite thing was the fish. They loved them and the fish were just beautiful. There is also a trampoline to get the wiggles out, and a little house in the backyard which was fun for pretend play. We could walk to a wonderful park with views of the mountain for great photos, and friendly kids to play with. They had the baseball field covered over with water to make an ice skating rink, and we love watching the skaters. This was a great chance to get some clean air, enjoy some friendly people, and travel without the inconveniences of a hotel. Brunch worked so well in the beautiful kitchen, with the multiple hole toaster, and the double oven. Very easy going owner with a good understanding of what helps when you are traveling with young children. We had a great time, and this home really helped!
