About this property
Unique mountain cottage for 6 with hot tub and incredible views
For those who love the countryside Carpenter's Cottage offers you the chance to explore the fascination of the fells or to simply relax, unwind, enjoy the clear mountain air and watch the quietly grazing Herdwick sheep, beneath a stunning panorama of mountain peaks.
Carpenters Cottage is a delightfully rustic mountain cottage offering easy access onto the surrounding Coniston fells. This comfortable 3 bedroomed cottage enjoys fantastic views down the Coppermines Valley towards Coniston Water. However don't be fooled by its rugged & traditional exterior, the interior of this cottage is quirky & cosy, oh and there's a private hot tub!
Attached to the cottage is our magnificent, restored waterwheel. This spectacular waterwheel looks all the more majestic in this dramatic mountain setting. Making Carpenter's Mountain Cottage the most unique and awe-inspiring setting for any Lake District holiday.
Ground floor
Slate floored hallway which leads into the cosy and rustic sitting & dining room with log fire, Sky colour TV, DVD/CD player, etc. From the sitting room guests can look out towards the Old Man of Coniston. Off the sitting & dining area is the ample kitchen area with dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer & washer/drier. The kitchen offers fantastic views down the valley towards Coniston.

Bedroom 3 - king size bed (or twin 2'6" single beds) & small en-suite shower room with WC.
Outside
Hot tub available for your exclusive use in our hot tub area next to the cottages.
(Please note open fells surround the cottages and livestock graze here. Due to the open nature of the fells we advise that small children and pets are supervised at all times.)
Travelling with a dog?
We can offer free use of a 1 acre enclosed field in Coniston village, perfect for off the lead running, walking, training and playing. Use by arrangement with The Coppermines only.
Facilities included
Bedding, towels, oil fired central heating, electricity, mains pressure hot water system, Wi-Fi, hot tub, initial logs for the fire.
Hot Tubs
You will have exclusive use of a hot tub for the duration of your stay. We aim to prepare all hot tubs ready for guest arrival, however for the benefit of all users we must comply with very high Health & Hygiene standards when servicing and maintaining our hot tubs. In the event of the hot tub needing a full service following a departure, we cannot guarantee the water in the hot tub will be hot enough for use the night of your arrival.
Parking
Plenty of space around the cottage.
