About this property
Koyasu - Traditional Japanese house in a wonderful area
Under the protection of the deity of Koyasu Kannon Temple and with traditional Japanese architecture, Koyasu house is a typical merchant house from the beginning of the last century.
Description of the house
With a great facade, enter through a spacious hallway leading to typical Japanese tatami rooms separated by sliding doors. Slightly adapted, the living room now offers western comfort with a large table and chairs. There is a compact kitchen, bathroom and restroom as well on the ground floor. At the back of the house, the living room opens onto a small garden where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the area.
Upstairs, the two bedrooms are warm and bright, one with a western double bed and one with Japanese futons.
The neighborhood
The house is located a few meters from the most famous walk in Kyoto, the Philosopher's Path. Nearby are many small shops and also a large supermarket which is very convenient for those who want to dine at home. For others, a few steps along Imadegawa Street, the street lights up with many traditional and varied restaurants. The bus stop is very close to the house for convenient access to other tourist areas of the city.
