Luxury base to explore the area

We had a wonderful stay, the amenities in the cottage were better than usual. We were able to explore the area after our visits so long ago to find the changes that have been made since. The Kilmartin museum and glen being the important one. Even though a lot of the hotels and places were closed for refurbishment prior to the season we found forestry walks and catered for ourselves in the well appointed cottage. Thanks to Argyle self catering who efficiently found this cottage for us after our other choice had to be cancelled.

A fabulous cottage immaculately decorated in a beautiful part of the world

The cottage is beautiful - immaculately decorated in a fabulously remote location. Had a wonderful time there.

A lovely little cottage in great location

The owners have put a lot of thought and personal touches into the house - small but really well fitted out and lovely. Take your bikes with you and use the very useful bike shed - can cycle along the Crinan Canal watching all the boat movements, enjoy coffee t Paula's Cafe or Crinan Basin, or even cycle to historic Kilmartin Glen.

Excellent in every way

So much good about this cottage. Location right on Crinan Canal with a great 4 mile walk to Crinan which has a lovely cafe and restaurant! The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Comfy bed, good heating system, hot water instantly. Easy parking close by. A very thoughtfully presented property which we much appreciated. Hope to return.

Last minute break with the family

This was a last minute booking. Took my two 20 something girls away for a few days and I can honestly say we were all mightily impressed with the accommodation and location. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

Mum's 90th

After searching accommodating in Argyle i picked Coorie Doon & the property was beautiful. Very well appointed with everything you could think of & more. The area has so much to see & such history also. I would recommend picking this cottage & enjoying the whole experience of cottage & area. The only thing that could be better would be to do it in summer & watch the boats on the Crinan Canal.

A very good stay.

As good and wonderful as our stay at Coorie Doone was, there were one or two things that I would like to report. Firstly, the suspended bedside lamps in the main bedroom were very annoying and, as they seemed to be made of glass, possibly dangerous. Each time we bent down to take items from the table tops, we banged our heads on the lamps. This affected both of us so a supported claim. Small table lamps or wall lights would be better. A set of napkins would have been useful as we had to use kitchen paper instead. Also, a hand towel in the kitchen would also have been ueful as we had to dry our hands on the tea towel. In addition a small sharp knife for peeling vegetables would also have been useful and another toilet roll would not have gone amiss. That’s all of the more negative stuff. We had a lovely week in the cottage. We love that area of Scotland so we had a great stay and even the Scottish weather shone for us. Thank you!
