We are a large newly renovated home in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. We have 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. There is a hot tub and a large screened in porch. 2 living rooms and large dining room with table for 10. Fireplace and outdoor fire pit.

There is a shared private sandy beach on Mirror Lake for swimming which includes the use of a 3 seat canoe. No fishing. Beach is reserved from
4:00-6:00pm for owners only (no renters).

Great family stay

Great family vacation spot. The kids loved the private beach across the street. Trailhead for Cobb hill just a short walk down the road - a lovely first hike for our 3 and 5 year old. With multiple living areas, huge kitchen, and a large backyard, it never felt crowded with 2 families plus Grandma and Grandpa - who had their own bedroom and bathroom on the 1st floor.

Lovely winter getaway

We had a wonderful stay on presidents weekend. The property was comfortable and classy. And a perfect location for a winter getaway boys trip. We saw a large red fox dart across the backyard the last morning

Great location and very well equipped!

Very cozy house, in great location close to Mirror Lake and Main St, but still in a quiet road. Was very well equipped with anything we needed, from kitchen utensils, appliances and cleaning material. Looks much better in person than pictures, some furniture has been replaced for newer. Definitely recommend!

Relaxing Ski Trip Getaway

We had a great time at this mirror Lake home. This weekend brought us lots of snow and fun memories. The hot tub and fireplace were the perfect warm up after a long ski day!

Great house in quiet Lake Placid Neighborhood

Chris the owner was easy to deal with. House was as advertised and worked great for our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). The hot tub was a big hit. I would recommend this house if you are looking for a nice private house just outside downtown Lake Placid.

Beautiful House, Modern Amenities

My group and I had a great time, and the house was more than large enough for our entire group of 8. We were also pleasantly surprised at how modern all of the amenities were, including the full gas range, hot tub/jacuzzi, and very nice flatscreen TV. The fireplace was also very nice and cozy. It's in a quiet area but just 5 minutes from the center of town.

Wonderful New Year's Family Weekend

We had a delightful time! The house is beautiful, and the location is perfect for walks around Mirror Lake and enjoying the town of Lake Placid. There was firewood in the garage for us to have cozy fires in the fireplace and play board games and make crafts on the dining room table. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked to make family meals. Wonderful place for our family New Year's long weekend.

This house was so perfect for our group. It never felt crowded, even when everyone wanted to hangout in the kitchen area. The large dining room table was great for family dinner and playing board games. Great location in a nice quiet neighborhood but still close to the action. Family Vacation

This home is amazing for a large group looking to relax, but still be close to town and hiking. The location of the home is perfect and you will love every feature of the home! You are close to town, golf, and hiking, but in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the large table for family game night and beach access during the day for kayaking. The hosts are amazing and so welcoming! All 9 of us highly recommend this home!

Spectacular Vacation Rental

Property had all the amenities needed for a mountain / lake getaway. House was very spacious, and clean and had great proximity to downtown and to Mirror Lake. Fire pit was a bonus to enjoy a relaxing campfire after a busy day. Hiking trails are very close as well. The owner of the property was very accommodating and made sure all our needs were met. I can't wait to stay here again soon! Highly recommend!!!

Great place for a get together with old friends!

I recently stayed at Chris and Lora's place in Lake Placid with four dear friends from high school. The place is spacious and comfortable complete with a large kitchen, hot tub, fire place, fire pit and individual beds for 5 people. The place could hold much more if couples are in the party. The home is close to downtown Lake Placid and nearby hiking opportunities such as Mt. Van Hoevenberg. The fire pit was a nice feature as, even though it was starting to get colder in late October, we were able to sit outside and enjoy each others company around a warm fire. Would definitely stay here again!

A Perfect North Country Setting for Our Family Getaway

Chris, our host, was so communicative and accommodating. We were a grandparent in wheelchair to toddler group, and all of us were comfortable in the space. The home has views from every window and a lovely outdoor space. The setting is very private, with trees surrounding the home. The large back yard and deck are so inviting; we spent every afternoon and evening outside, eating on the deck, and playing with the kids. The kitchen is a well-equipped dream with a large island. There are multiple spaces to gather, but our favorite was the enclosed sunporch. The private beach access is a bonus that we used one morning. We'll return for sure. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

Triathlon Training Weekend with Friends

This is the perfect house and perfect location for triathlon training. A group of friends and I stayed here so that we could swim, bike, and run the IMLP course just for general training for future races. We had an amazing time! The house is very roomy with tons of space for lots of different people. The kitchen is enormous and updated which enabled us to easily prepare meals. The private beach was perfect for swimming the LP course! It was relaxing, convenient, and the property managers are friendly, responsive individuals. Loved it! We will be back!!

Wonderful Hosts, Location and Property

We are very grateful to the Grants for sharing their wonderful home. Wonderful accommodations, location with access to a shared private beach on Mirror Lake to swim and launch kayaks. The property is located about a 1.5 mile walk around the Lake to the village. Chris provided timely and clear communication, and even welcomed us at check-in. I would gladly stay at this property again!

Clarkson graduation getaway

Great property! We loved the house and had a blast ❤️ This rental was a a fun place to stay for our son’s graduation from Clarkson. Yes, it’s roughly an hour and half from Clarkson but a whole lot closer than where we’re from…and Lake Placid is so fun to explore. The house was perfect with tons of space, a great hot tub and a cornhole set that we thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks for letting us rent your beautiful home!

Great family house!

My husband and three teenage boys stayed at this house for a week and it was perfect. Well equipped, clean and within walking distance to town and the lake. Quiet nights around the fire pit while the boys played wiffle ball were perfect. We hiked, rented a pontoon boat, road ATV’s, zip lined at Experience Outdoors (awesome) and visited the Olympic sites. All in all a great family vacation and a great house!

We bought this house in 2001 as a second home but soon found out that we never wanted to leave! We moved our family here in 2006. Our children are in college now and I have just started spending more time in New Jersey on a job assignment. We plan on retiring here in 3-5 years but enjoy sharing our home with families from around the country/world in the meantime. Once you stay, you will see why it is so hard to leave this area!

Why they chose this property

This property is wonderful because it has a large flat yard (for kids to run around on), it is just a short walk to the private beach. It is wooded on 3 sides and has a walking trail right out the back yard.
