Lovely quirky cottage

A lovely quirky cottage in a fantastic location with the bonus of a car parking space. The cottage provided everything we required needed. We had our Westie with us he loved outside space but please note it is shared with the neighbour which we didn’t realise. We will definitely return.

Fabulous Cottage

Had one of the best weekends with Keswick Cottsges staying in Jasmine Cottage. It’s a small but perfectly equipped, cosy and warm dwelling. Was perfect for the wet days with the hosepipe in the garden and the utility for coats and boots. The fire is lovely and cosy and a nice modern bathroom. Ideal location. Will definitely book this one again. .

Excellent week in the Lakes (again)!

Great cottage location. Very cosy and warm cottage. Well equipped. The entryway (outside) could do with some sand put done as it’s very slippy on the flagstone in freezing conditions. We are back in March! Enjoyed our stay very much.

Jasmine Cottage

Loved our stay at Jasmine Cottage in Portinscale!! The cottage is well appointed, we didn't need for anything. Great location, Keswick is only a short walk away, and well positioned for many local walks. Would love to book again in the near future.

Great location couple of things that could be improvd

Location of the cottage was perfect for us, walking distance to a number of wainwrights and of Keswick (around 20 minutes) to get food afterwards! Cottage was well equipped and extremely tidy, but watch your head on the low beams! There are a couple of things that could have improved the stay, firstly the Wi-Fi is so slow it barely works so don’t plan on being able to do any work etc. whilst away. Secondly there are a number of signs around the property all with different instructions for the bins which we found confusing. Finally given the size of the dishwasher it would be good to have more plates and mugs etc so the dishwasher can be filled up fully and used more efficiently.

lovely relaxing stay in the lake district

We had a wonderful week stay at Jasmine Cottage. We did struggle to find the cottage at first because we didn't see the little turn off just before the cafe. However once we found it, it was simple. Bus stop just across the road, lovely walks nearby and easy walk into Keswick. Cottage is very well appointed and the bed was comfortable; we slept really well which isn't always the case when away from home. Lots of hot water and the shower was really good. There is a low beam in the bathroom but my husband was able to avoid bumping head so no issues there. It was such a lovely holiday and cottage and I am sure we will return, when we do, I would hope to book Jasmine Cottage again. PS the staff in the office are really helpful and friendly.

Cosy cottage in great location

We stayed at Jasmine Cottage on a very wet week in April with two dogs. The 'sun room' became a handy boot room for drying our kit and dogs, and we were grateful for the heating being on pretty much all the time. The furniture and bed were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I hadn't appreciated that the garden was shared with the other cottages in the row, so we had to keep an eye on the dogs to stop them wandering up behind the other properties. The gate is also used by all properties for rear access so it was essential to check it had been closed before letting the dogs out. We had a couple of small issues but were easily able to get hold of Keswick Cottages to sort out. The cottage is in an ideal location close to the lake, next door to a cafe and just a short drive into Keswick. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

A wonderful find in a great location.

We have only good things to say about Jasmine Cottage, a cosy cottage with everything you could want or need. A comfortable bed, a spacious, modern bathroom and a handy conservatory to sit in to enjoy the sunshine. Really thoughtful and much appreciated locally sourced goodies to try and all of the essentials provided too. Thanks so much. The cottage is located conveniently for a short walk into Keswick, with The Chalet Tearooms just next door. We enjoyed The Farmers Arms in Portinscale and The Dog and Gun in Keswick. Highlights were a walk around beautiful Buttermere and to Scale Force Waterfall.

A delightful cottage in a lovely quiet location

A lovely cottage in a quiet location. Immaculately presented. Within easy walking distance of the much busier Keswick. I would agree with a previous comment in that only one toilet roll in the cottage and a minuscule amount of washing up liquid. I didn’t cook there at all, only ate breakfast, so didn’t need the dishwasher. I only gave a 3 for customer service as I did everything online, so really nothing else to comment. I also gave 3 for value for money as it was only myself staying. I understand that with cottages there is no single supplement, but I still feel I need to make a point on behalf of other single travellers. However on the whole would definitely stay here again.

Christmas cracker

We arrived at Jasmine and no problem gaining access through the side entrance. The cottage was tastefully decorated for our Christmas stay. The cottage had everything at hand for a comfortable week long stay. The location is excellent for walks around Derwentwater, Catbells or a short walk into Keswick town with it’s many pubs and restaurants. The cottage has a useful utility room which was great to dry the dog and get our wet clothes off as the weather was typical lakes weather. Would definitely recommend a stay at Jasmine. Recommend The Chalet tea room next door and The Falmers Arms for great pub food and friendly atmosphere.

Home from home

A fantastic few days spent at Jasmine cottage. We were really happy on arrival to find this cosy little cottage. The location was fantastic with a quick 15 minute walk into keswick and lots of walks nearby or a short distance away. It was a much needed break and we didn't want to return home! Our 2 little frenchies loved their stay and spent most of evenings fast asleep in front of the fire. Thanks for our gifts on arrival and decorating the cottage, we definitely started to feel Christmassy

Perfect for a couple

We stay here most years, short walk to Keswick, quiet village. We caught a bus from Keswick and walked back to Portinscale twice, only drove the car once in the week- perfect holiday. Cottage has cosy living room with log burner and smart TV, lovely bright sun room and compact kitchen that is well equipped. Bathroom clean and spacious. Bedroom spacious with character - exposed beams and sloping ceiling. Would definitely return.

Very satisfied.

Car parking is is good but access can be diifficult at tmes. The sun lounge/breakfast room is a most enjoyable feature. The TV control menu can be a puzzel. A ice cube tray in the fridge would be a nice touch !. Carry on the good work, cheers Mike P
