We really enjoyed our stay! The owners of the place live on site and are really great. Our cabin was clean and cozy. The best part was the spacious area to walk our dog around and the well curated grounds with an incredible view of the lake. We plan to return next summer!
This place was super cute in an awesome spot on the lake. We loved it, and the owner, Jenni, was so nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again! 💖
The cabin was a wonderful getaway. We didn't spend much time in our cabin due to our reason for being rhere was fishing, but it was quaint, quite, and comfortably. Loved this place and highly recommend.
Property is well maintained, great for kids, fur babies. Most cabins have screened in porch, that was great for All meals, visiting, etc. The road to dock is rough to drive and steep to walk back up. That could use a good grading. The view of lake was wonderful and the sun rise was breathtaking.
Beds were very comfortable.
My husband and I stayed with our 2 grandsons so we could visit with family near by. Jenni was very nice. The cabin was clean and we loved the screened in porch. Boys enjoyed the playground area.
A great place to stay. Beautiful views of the lake. Very clean and cozy cabin. Great communication with the hostess . Awesome person. Everything was exceptionally close to visit as well. Will definitely recommend this place and keep it in mind for our next trip.
We came from Texas to vacation here, and it was NOTHING short of Fantastic. My kids had an absolute blast. Gorgeous views! Norfork lake was amazing also. The cabin was just right for our family of 5! Everything was furnished and owners were great! We are already talking about next years visit there.
We had the best time at our stay!!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The only issue we had was the WiFi. The user name was different than what was posted. This was a small issue and we were over all pleased with the property.
Very clean, great communication with owners. We were there in the winter so nice & quiet.

About the host
Hosted by Jenni Coan
We moved here from the Chicago area for the opportunity for Jared to use his construction/property maintenance background to be self-employed. About a year later, Jenni had their daughter and now stays at the resort to run it and raise her and their son. In addition to running the resort, Jared is a local Home Inspector and a new construction Contractor, and volunteers on the fire department. Jenni teaches tumbling and volunteers with the Lake Tourism organization, Fireworks Association, and PTO.
Why they chose this property
Jared vacationed on Lake Norfork as a kid and it was his parent's dream when they were about his age to own a resort around here. After a few months of looking, we found the Mountain Home, AR community, and primarily the resort community in Gamaliel to be the right fit for Jenni to be interested in moving and resort ownership. Walking out of cabin 1, the breathtaking lake view, lush landscaping, and accessible wildlife was enough to convince Jenni this was worth moving South for. It has been well worth it!
What makes this property unique
This resort in particular has a lengthy history - a photo hangs in the office of the main building from 1955, when there were merely ferries to take travelers across the lake in to Mountain HOme, AR. Now, there are (2) bridges, which has changed the vacation experience, but not integrity of our quaint resort. The cabins have been renovated, but there is a lot of nostalgia on property still. Our place is conveniently located but offers a lot of privacy, peace, and serenity, with enough to do to keep the kids entertained and plenty of space for outdoor play.
