About this property
Domus De Acacia - Three Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 6
Situated in the beautiful North-East of Sardinia just a stone’s throw away from a breath-taking white sand beach with a nature reserve and pretty villages nearby, Domus De Acacia is perfectly placed for a relaxing holiday.
Sitting right near the coast, you will find this lovely 3-bedroom villa. Ideal for a getaway with a few friends or a family trip, it has a comfortable open-plan living room connected to a fully-fitted kitchen which provides a sociable space to cook. Enjoy your evening meal together at the large dining table with views over the garden. There are 3 serene double bedrooms, each with garden access so that guests may retire for some privacy when they wish to. The also benefits from air-conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout.
Stepping outside you will find that the villa is surrounded by a gorgeous enclosed garden with lawned areas, palm trees, plants and flowers. With an inviting private pool and many nooks to relax and dine in you can spend all day out here enjoying the Sardinian weather. Head up on to the rooftop sun terrace for views of the crystal-clear sea!
Domus De Acacia is the perfect home for beach lovers as there are many fantastic beaches nearby, the closest of which is Salina Bamba which is a mere 200m walk away. With white sand and azure water, this is a great beach for the whole family and you are sure to spend lots of time here. Also, just behind the bay there is a saltwater pond which attracts lots of migrating birds, so you may even spot a flamingo or two on your walk down to the beach.
The villa is located in a residential area close to the coast, but there is a supermarket, a restaurant and a bar all under 1km away - handy for when you don’t want to venture far from the house or the beach.
3km away is Capo Coda Cavallo which is a stunning protected area. The beach here is nestled behind Tavalora island, which keeps the sea calm and creates tranquil conditions for biodiverse marine life or just taking a dip! The coves, rugged cliffs and shrubland are all protected, so the plants and animals thrive. As well as lovely beaches there are also walking routes and a village where you can have an evening meal and pick up groceries.
If you want to go on a day out then San Teodoro is a brilliant place to visit. Around 12km away from the villa, this lively former fishing village is packed with bars, restaurants and a few glitzy nightclubs if you fancy a night of dancing. If you are visiting in the day then you can peruse the street markets, visit the museum, Roman relics and ancient churches or just relax on the palm tree lined beaches. The historic city of Olbia is also worth a visit and is 26km away by car.

Location:
Domus De Acacia is perfectly located on Sardinia’s North East coast. With a gorgeous coastline, little islands and charming towns nearby, you will not be short of things to see and do while staying here.
If you are looking for a beach holiday where you can unwind on stunning sandy beaches and swim in the sea then this is the place to stay. Just 200m from the door is the white sand Salina Bamba beach. There is also a brilliant diving centre right by the beach where you can take lessons or hire equipment for snorkelling and diving to make the most of the clear water and the range of marine life.
This is not the only beach nearby. 3km away is the Capo Coda Cavallo which boasts over 15,000 hectares of protected coastline so you will always have new places to discover.
From a number of nearby beaches you will have views of the offshore islands Tavolara, Molara and Proratora. If you make the 10km drive to Porto San Paolo you can then take a boat trip to Tavolara island, the boat which takes around 25-minutes. The island is not to be missed and is an unspoilt paradise which is entirely natural aside from a few restaurants for visitors. It is an idyll for snorkelling and diving too.
If you wish to stay on dry land then you can walk up to Punta Cannone which is the highest point on the island for unrivalled panoramic views. Experienced hikers are also able to book a guide and take a 6-hour hike. There are also organised cruises which take visitors to the other smaller islands and stop off at scenic spots. When you wish to pick up some groceries or nip out for lunch then you have many options close by. You could head to the local restaurant, bars and supermarket which are under 1km away, visit the village of Capo Coda Cavallo which is 3km away for a few more shops and eateries or drive to another larger town such as San Teodoro. San Teodoro, an ancient coastal settlement, is 12km away and is a great place to visit for the day. Head to the museum to learn about the history of the area including its pirate attacks! There are also some beautiful old churches to see, markets, shops and charming street-side eateries. In the evening San Teodoro comes alive with elegant bars and a few nightclubs for a fun night out. Porto San Paulo is 10km away and is where boats depart for trips to the islands. There is much more to the town however with a gold course, tennis courts, walking routes over the cliffs and a riding centre for those seeking an active day out. This port town is also the place to go to try some of the delicious local seafood. 26km away you can visit Olbia, a bustling city packed with museums, ancient monuments, religious sites and of course shopping. Olbia is also known for its beaches as it marks the start of the famous Emerald coast, if you drive up past the city you will discover some of the island’s best beaches in Sardinia, if not the whole of Europe.
