About this property
Villa Didot - Five Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 10
Set against the scenic Croatian countryside in the idyllic village of Lisane and just a stone’s throw away from the picturesque town of Skradin, Villa Didot is a charming, traditional-style stone five-bedroom villa that can accommodate up to 10 guests. Perfect for those searching for a family holiday home away from the more crowded tourist destinations, Villa Didot offers guests a comfortable and relaxing stay in stylish yet rustic surroundings.
The interior of this spectacular villa features a country-cottage style vibe, with lashings of beautiful exposed brickwork, solid, well-crafted wooden furniture and comfy soft furnishings. Villa Didot radiates warmth and charm from the spacious Dalmatian Tavern with a large BBQ station, the bright, well-equipped second kitchen - perfect for preparing family meals, and the games area where guests can enjoy table football billiards and darts.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are light and airy, with fresh, white decor and stunning meadow views. The villa offers guests plenty of high-quality appliances and home-comforts, including a washing machine, hairdryer, satellite TV and air conditioning throughout.
Completely fenced in for privacy and featuring a stunning courtyard and private pool, the grounds of Villa Didot are a joy to behold. There are lounge chairs and parasols on the terrace, perfect for soaking up the sun or relaxing in the shade with a good book or maybe a cocktail or two, and a small children’s play area with a trampoline.

Location:
Villa Didot is nestled in a beautiful rural location, ideally located near the popular cosmopolitan cities of Sibenik and Zadar and close to the National park of Krka Waterfalls and Kornati Islands. The nearest town is Skradin, one of Croatia’s hidden gems, characterised by its pastel-coloured waterfront houses, vineyards and wineries. The marina is a popular stopping point for yachts in the summer and is famously Bill Gates’ ‘most favourite place in the world - and it’s no wonder; the town is perfect for a lazy stroll, stopping along the way to purchase honey, wine, fruits, nuts and olive oil from the many stalls that line the streets, before being enticed into one of the waterside restaurants or cafes.
Skradin was developed under the Roman empire in the 10th century with a rich, ancient history and is now enjoying a present-day tourist boom. The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary sits in the tiny town, dating back to the 18th century and featuring a beautiful pipe organ, and is well worth a visit while you’re in the area. So too is the Clock Tower Campanile, Skradin’s most iconic sight, and easily visible from wherever you are in the town. For a small fee, you can climb to the top and look out over the landscape - be sure to look out for the pair of 9th century stone sarcophagi at the base of the bell tower.
If you decide to not venture from the town, you’ll be pleased to know that Skradin has its beach, a lovely little stretch of pebbles along the river. The water here is crystal clear, and there are permanent umbrellas, making it the ideal place to pitch up for the day and lounge in the sun. While you’re relaxing, the kids can play at the small playground, and there are food and ice cream stalls along the beach and the casual Skradina Beach Bar, so refreshments are always on hand.
After a few hours of blissful sunbathing, why not head down to the Old Timer Museum Scardona park - just a few minutes walk from the beach. Once called the Ferdinand Budicki Exhibition and located in Zagreb, this collection of rare, mint condition, Yugoslavian antique cars have found a new home here in Skradin. They are a popular attraction in the town.
