Myn Tea has stunning sea views and is within walking distance to Gwenver beach. Perfect for families or two couples. It boasts a fabulous balcony offering views out to the Atlantic and the sun setting beyond The Longships Lighthouse off Land's End. There is an enclosed landscaped garden and the expansive kitchen, dining and living space upstairs is perfect for socialising. On the ground floor there are two comfortable bedrooms and the family bathroom.
The balcony provides the picture-perfect place for sundowners to take in the views across the Atlantic and, on a clear day, further beyond to the Isles of Scilly. There’s no better place to spend a summer’s evening watching surfers in front of the sunset, or join them as the beach is so close. You can just about see the sea from the master bedroom while enjoying your morning cuppa.

Fantastic walks from the doorstep and Gwenver beach is dog friendly all year round! If you’re bringing your four-legged friend/s they will be in heaven.

With plenty of parking, a fire pit and outdoor seating, the secluded sunny garden is lovely for BBQs on a summer evening when it’s just too good to be inside.

Filled with light and spacious living spaces, Myn Tea is the ideal family holiday, romantic couple’s retreat and with the flexibility of the second bedroom, two couples or some friends.

LOCATION

Perfectly located in the quiet and secluded hamlet of Tregiffian, a ten-minute walk to Gwenver beach, Myn Tea is private and away from it all, yet places are within easy reach for exploring further afield. With so many attractions in the Far West it is a great place to explore from and return to.

This cottage is just a short walk from the beautiful surfing beach of Gwenver, which is a quieter beach around the corner from popular Sennen Cove. The busy towns of St Ives and Penzance are both a short drive, and some of the best beaches in the country are nearby.

It's designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and makes an amazing location for family holidays or romantic breaks all year round.

The mining areas of Cornwall are UNESCO World Heritage sites and offer an insight into the life of our ancestors.

This countryside inspired such authors as Daphne Dumorier, Rosemund Pilcher and more recently Patrick Gale. The art colonies nearby are famous from such greats as Barbara Helpworth, Stanhope Forbes and even Mark Rothko.

LIVING
Myn Tea was designed to optimise the social space. Its 38-foot-long upstairs living, dining, and kitchen area is filled with light and offers captivating views across the fields and out to sea. A reverse living cottage the living space is on the first floor with the bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor.

Comfort is important to us, and here you'll find two big sofas to sink back into. The sweetest wood burner will make autumn and winter nights something to look forward to, while the big balcony is the perfect place for a sundowner at the end of an exciting day of exploration.

COOKING & EATING
At Myn Tea aspiring chefs can have the fun of a well-equipped kitchen while staying in touch with family and friends in the open plan living space. Enjoy the views whilst washing up!

There's an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and the all important coffee machine for your morning cuppa.

SLEEPING
Both bedrooms are on the ground floor.
MASTER BEDROOM: Super comfortable king size bed where you can just about see the sea while having your morning cup of tea. Double doors open out to the garden and the outside shower. It has an en-suite WC and sink.
SECOND BEDROOM: Two single beds which can be made up as a king on request.

BATHING

FAMILY BATHROOM: Shower over the bath on the ground floor.

The master bedroom has an en-suite WC with sink.

OUTSIDE SHOWER: Take a step outside the French doors from the master bedroom to enjoy the heated outside waterfall shower (also accessible via the garden).

OUTSIDE
An enclosed garden with plenty of seating, and a fire pit for taking the chill off those summer evenings when it's just too good to go inside.

USEFUL TO KNOW...

PARKING: There's plenty of parking available.

WI-FI: Fast (Up to 50MB) broadband means you can stay connected. There is also phone reception and 4G at the house.

HEATING: Myn Tea has oil fired central heating, but its draw is 'Edna' the gorgeous wood burner that makes a winter stay even more tempting.

LITTLE ONES: There is a built-in stairgate at the top of the stairs. Little ones should be supervised at all times.

PETS: Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at £35 each per week/short break.

Far West Cornwall is doggie heaven! There’s plenty of beaches and coast paths for exploring. Please make sure they stay out of bedrooms and off the furniture and that you rub down muddy/sandy feet before they come in. Gwenver beach is dog friendly all year.

LINEN & TOWELS: You'll have bedding & towels but please bring your own beach towels.

UTILITY: There is a washer / dryer, airer, iron and ironing board in the cupboard under the stairs.

ACCESSIBILITY: The road leading to the barn is quite rutted. You will need to drive very slowly and would not be suitable for low slung vehicles. Parking is just outside the house. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor with a small step in through the front door and an internal flight of stairs leads you to the kitchen and living area, so it's probably not suitable for those with limited mobility but always check with us first.

This property is not wheelchair friendly and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. If this applies, please contact our booking office to discuss the properties potential suitability prior to confirming.

CHANGEOVER & SHORT BREAKS: Changeover is usually Friday. Do check with us if your dates don't quite fit as we will always try to help.

We are The Cornish Way Limited. My name is Seb and together with assistance from Adrienne and Lowenna we run The Cornish Way, a small local holiday agency managing a fine collection of cottages on behalf of their owners. Working from a converted dairy on the outskirts of Penzance together with our office dogs, Baloo and Herbie we are located close by to all the cottages.
The whole team live locally so always get in touch. We are usually on hand to help with your stay even if it's just a tip for a good local pub or beach!

Why they chose this property

Sea views from the balcony, a rural location, a fabulous beach within walking distance, easy reach to Sennen and west Cornwall! Lots of boxes ticked! An outside shower off the master bedroom and French windows out to the garden makes this a special place to relax.
