Seafield Lodge is a fantastic two-bedroom ground floor apartment situated in an iconic local building in the centre of Grantown-on-Spey, Cairngorms National Park. The accommodation is finished to a very good standard and offers great open-plan living. The living/dining/kitchen benefits from an enormous amount of natural light pouring in from the front of the house. The feature fireplace in the open-plan living space is a real treat and you’ll enjoy lighting it when you return from long days out exploring in the national park.
Seafield Lodge really does offer an excellent space for the family to get together and relax after Cairngorm adventures. The kitchen has everything needed to rustle up a storm to feed a hungry family. The two bedrooms are at the rear of the property. The double bedroom has patio doors onto the small garden, which is perfect for those wishing to bring up to two well-behaved dogs.
The real bonus of staying at Seafield Lodge is the location. Tucked away on a quiet, mature street in Grantown-on-Spey, you’re only a two-minute walk to the high street where there are many nice places to eat and drink during your stay. The River Spey is also only a short walk away, so those interested in fishing this great river are in prime position by staying at Seafield Lodge. The River Spey is the second most productive salmon river in Scotland and the best sea-trout river in Scotland; And amazingly, the Strathspey Angling Improvement Association which manages the stretch of river around Grantown and the wider area offers day permits for only £55 and you can fish for a week for £215.
Forty minutes north from Grantown you will reach the Moray Firth coastline and the celebrated Castle Stuart Golf Links. For the discerning golfer there are many great courses to try at fantastic green fee rates. The Cairngorms National Park offers amazing hiking, biking and skiing opportunities. There are countless trails to stroll off on low down, and up onto the plateau. Road cycling and mountain biking are very popular from Grantown too with many routes to try.
Not only is this a summer destination, year-round there are things to see and do. Why not come for both a summer and winter break to see how the Cairngorms change from one beautiful version of itself to another?
