A spacious well decorated well planned apartment.
A spacious (about 1200 sq. ft.) apartment in a historic building. Nicely furnished in a modern style. With a king size bed and two sofa beds, it can sleep 6 people. A ground floor apartment with a rather grand covered stairway and impressive double door entry. The bathroom was spacious, very nice and the electric heater there was a plus, very handy for drying clothes and towels. Another plus was lots of large cabinets and book shelves to store everything in.
In a quite location next to the railroad station, with a gate leading directly to platform 1 N. However, the apartment managers did not furnish a key for that gate, so we had to ask passing residents to let us in our out and was lucky to see anyone.
We would definitely stay there again as well as recommend it to others. However, there are a few things that the apartment managers should take care of. There is no WiFi and no English language TV stations, not even CNN or BBC news. This would be an issue for a longer stay. A previous tenant had damaged the curtain hangers on the end of two curtains which hung down and could not be closed, these needs to be repaired. One big inconvenience is that the microwave oven is very large and takes up the entire counter space to the right of the sink. There is no where to put the coffee pot or coffee maker as there is only one place to plug anything in and that is above the microwave and only one plug works. The apartment managers should move the microwave into the large cabinet to the right of the kitchen area and add extra plugs in the kitchen.
All in all this was a lovely apartment and we enjoyed our stay there. It was a great place to lounge in and drink Prosecco while snacking on prosciutto and gorgonzola.
