If you are a history buff, this is the place for you. The owner is a proud Yooper and has historic pictures and books throughout the house! Overall great stay!
This is a lovely house in a decent spot in town. We were about 1/2 mile for downtown and could walk or drive easily. Morning viewed greeted us with sunrise over the lake. The place was clean and provided with everything you need. Check in easy and parking convenient.
My sister and I came up to Marquette for the UP Beer fest and, being in walking distance to the fest and downtown Marquette, Amy’s place was the perfect spot!
Amy keeps a spotless home, with a wonderfully comfy bed and an amazing soak-worthy clawfoot bath tub. She is kind and generous, sharing her knowledge and gifts.
I look forward to a return visit.
Great location, spacious living area, and immaculate cleanliness. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and trails along Lake Superior.
Friendly host with plenty of knowledge! Great artwork displayed. Lots of reading material.
Ear plugs would be helpful while sleeping due to traffic noise.

Absolutely adorable, spacious and quaint. From the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom windows you can see the sunrise. You are close to shopping. You can walk to Cal's party store. Huron Bakery is a skip and a jump down the rode.
Tadych's grocery is about a mile up the road where you can grab a jug of OJ along with a ham and cheddar croissant from the deli, place it in the fridge to heat up for your morning's breakfast.
The apartment has all of the dishes you need, utensils, teapot, stove and microwave.
The bed was sooo comfortable. I need a pillow like that, forms to your head and shoulder.
The apartment has a cozy sitting room with plenty of seating. Here you will find a large closet with iron and ironing board. The instructions for the tv are placed with the remote.
The bathroom is stocked with everything you need. Great water pressure and you can have a fabulous hot shower or bath.
The apartment smells very nice. It is well taken care of. We had room to park our car in the driveway, no problem.
We were well taken care of. The owner is friendly and thoughtful.
I would highly recommend this place for your stay.
Our time was spent with family and enjoying downtown. This not only the perfect location but a lovely place to stay! The apartment is full of charm and very comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at this property and the host could not have been more helpful. It is an exceptionally well-kept property with plenty of room as advertised. It is in a great location and there is a view of Lake Superior. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location, very comfortable and accommodating
We are visiting from downstate on Memorial Day weekend to visit my son, perfect location for us, your place is very comfortable and accommodating. We took advantage of the bikes and took a ride on the bike path along the lakeshore, stopping to enjoy the beach. Thanks for a wonderful weekend! We will definitely be back!
Having been to Marquette many times and always staying in hotels we wanted something new. This one bedroom apartment exceeded our expectations. It is very roomy and quaint is the proper way to describe it. Upon entering the apartment you ascend a small staircase that enters into a small hallway. The decorations are spot on and the decor is fitting of the home. When we arrived the windows were slightly opened and cool breeze blew through as we sat on the lazy leather couch. Amy, the owner, left out many books and Marquette history items along with recommendations for local eateries and things to do. It is very walkable to downtown and Lakeshore Drive along the waterfront. If this place is not booked next time we go we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
We were very comfortable at this charming Victorian apartment. It was perfect for us, clean, comfortable bed, and plenty of room to relax. We will be back.
Convenient, helpful, spotless, flexible, considerate hostess. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
Bicycles available and while I had the best intentions to ride, I was surprised and intimidated by the steepness of the hills. Loved it.

Very nice apt with good walking access to Marquette shops, restaurants and trails. Cajun restaurant in town was excellent - many other options as well. Owner made our stay very enjoyable.
Clean, cozy and intriguing! The apartment was just what we needed after all of our adventures around town, along the lake shore and in the woods. The reading material, in the apartment, was so cool to learn more about the history of Marquette and the UP!
Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for a great stay. :)
Lovely, cozy apartment above the main house. Wonderful clawfoot tub, with shower, very comfortable bed, nice large living room & the kitchen is wonderful. We were able to walk or bike anywhere in Marquette!
We stayed for four nights in July. The location was convenient and the apartment comfortable. The owner went above and beyond for us with suggestions on restaurants, things to do, weather, etc. The most any owner has ever done for us.
We had a great stay. Host was responsive and provided lots of extras you could need for a few days stay. Space was roomy and had a great location. We did a lot of biking/beach going.
Really enjoyed our visit.

I'm a 4th generation Yooper, my great grandparents came from Canada and Sweden. My maternal great grand parents owned a flour mill in forestville and there was also a saloon operated downtown Marquette in the 1800s. My great grand mother was a dressmaker. My grandpa was a detailer at Lake Superior carriage works. He liked to whittle and was creative- my mother stayed here with my grandma while her siblings left the UP- my grandma didn't want to live anywhere else, she missed the UP very much when they left to live in Chicago in 1922, so they had to return. My paternal side in 1911 or so after the big fire in Oscoda my dad’s parents moved to Big Bay 30 miles from here, my grandfather worked at the Brunswick Blake Collander company. They shipped out maple from Big Bay for billiards pool cues and bowling pins. In 1926 my grandfather invented a bowling pin. My grandparents played music-the violin and piano for silent film theatre also in Big Bay. My grandfathers both died fairly young and my grandmothers persevered with the love of family and the UP. They loved to cook, bake and play the piano ❤️ I myself am very traditional and like all the above and my creative streak is helping others, outdoor photography, being near the water of Lake Superior, in nature, my salon, and art.

What makes this property unique
Queen Anne Victorian home built in 1896 The first owner had originally descended from Scotland and Canada. In the 1920 census 5 family members lived in the 2000 plus sq ft home. One female worked as a clerk at the railroad and her brother worked as a laborer in the coal yard. Thier mother from Scotland stayed at home with her daughter in law and grandson. In the 1970s the next owners converted a portion of the upstairs into an apartment .
