Loved how close it was to the Sanibel beach which provided lots of seashells for kids to find. The place was clean n Nancy was great to interact with. The house was a great place for the family and would stay there again.
This is a very wonderful and spacious beach house that my family and my 2 dogs enjoyed! The beach really is a couple steps away. The house itself was very clean and organized, equipped with everything you need to upkeep. It has a really nice porch too, shady and breezy. Definitely coming back later down the line :)
We loved the little cottage. Plenty of space and well equipped. Our only complaint is that our neighbor had three large golden retrievers that barked loud throughout our stay and early in the morning.
The unit is older but pretty well kept up. The AC in the back bedroom seems inadequate on hot days.

Unfortunate experience
We have enjoyed many Sanibel Island rentals over the years. This is the first time that we have been disappointed with our accommodations. The place is in serious need of deep cleaning. We had a toddler with us and his hands were covered with white dogs hair and dirt from the living room. The ceiling fans, bedroom dressers and bathroom were not clean. I informed the owner that it was the dirtiest unit that we have ever experienced; and also told her that some items were broken. She said that she was aware that some things needed replacing. We were so uncomfortable with the unit that we decided to leave 2 days early. I requested a partial refund/discount due to the poor conditions, but none was offered. In the future we will only use a rental agency so that there is some accountability.
The property was in a great location and a pet friendly community. The place was clean and comfortable to stay in. The host was great and responded quickly to any inquiries. This is a duplex so you can hear neighbors and their dogs. We did not mind because we were pet lovers. At night time it was quiet so no complaints. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again in the future!
If you’re looking for a pet friendly cottage close to the beach, this is the place to be! We absolutely adored the place from the decor to the ice cold air conditioning and full kitchen. Our pup especially seemed to love it! If we come to sanibel again, this is where we will stay!

Wonderful stay without the view
The house was just as pictured, very nice and clean. The only downfall was the condo in front of the house blocking all the oceans view. The tennis court on the other side was noisy when several people were playing. Otherwise house was perfect.
Perfect getaway home base for family ..very large living room, well-equipped kitchen., grill, beach chairs, washer/dryer and bright and clean. Also, great air conditioning. Two-min walk to beach. In case it is impt to your family: No DVD player or ability to stream movies (there was cable)—not a big deal for us. We will stay again for sure! Owner very responsive to our questions.
The property was very clean and well equipped, from the kitchen to the bedding clothes. It is spacious and very well located. Just a short walk to the beach, and closed to several restaurants. It met all our need, being a group of 6 people, from 12 to 59 of age, and 2 dogs.. We all had a great long weekend.!
Nancy was very nice and communicated well thorough our stay. Best location right by the beach, very clean and spacious

Overrated rental unit
There were rodent droppings in the silverware drawer in the kitchen, and an exposed electrical socket in the Master bedroom which had another unit’s “lanai” (dinky screened entry room) right outside the master bedroom window. This rental also featured a tired and dated bathroom (with a duct-taped hole in the bath tub wall), loud noises from the two other units in the rental, and a parking lot/apartment buildings view from the tired kitchen...not quite what I had expected for the money nor from the photos or reviews!
I was so sorry I had picked this rental for my getaway and just glad I didn’t get sick from the rodent droppings! I should have stayed at one of the charming hotels on Sanibel or Captiva instead, which are also close to or actually on the beach.
To be fair, the owner did email before arrival that the bathroom shower wall was duct-taped, but how long had it been like this? Between the rusty tub, the mold on the tile grout and the duct tape hole repair, I didn’t even want to take a bath—just got in and out of the shower as quickly as possible.
When I informed the owner of my “issues”, she didn’t even apologize, and got defensive and made it seem like I was at fault and she was only upset I was tarnishing her rental reputation. I reread the description and nowhere does it say the rental is a triplex—I had expected a quiet house.
The quality is not there for your money—please consider other options for your stay on Sanibel before renting this “lanai” unit in this noisy triplex.

Great Location - Great Place
This is not a modern condo complex where you have to worry about the kids "touching things" and your surrounded by retirees. Great location, well maintained and stocked with plenty of room. So nice to be able to bring the dog along too, but be aware you can hear the other occupants. If your dog barks at every sound this may not work for you. We've stayed at several different places on the island, this will be our first choice from now on.
