Summary:
If you're looking for the perfect place to bring your family or group of friends, then look no further than Sixpence Cottage in Pickering. This Georgian property, dating back to approximately 1750 has character throughout and also boasts a beautiful well-stocked and secure walled garden where you enjoy the peaceful surroundings and let the children explore. Sixpence cottage also welcomes up to two well behaved dogs.
The Space:
The living room at Sixpence Cottage is full of colour and character. With a plush sofa and a beautifully patterned armchair, you can enjoy a well-earned rest after wandering the local area.
The space has a traditional feel and features a cast iron fireplace, perfect if you are visiting during the colder months. The room features a flat screen TV fitted with SKY for when you want to wind down in the evening.
The kitchen is tastefully decorated with neutral walls and pale green metro wall tiles. Fully equipped with everything you need for cooking at home you can make the most of your self-catering stay.
The dining area is a spacious room with ample seating for all guests, and a table large enough for everyone to enjoy a meal in comfort. The room also comes with an atmospheric log burner to keep everyone warm and toasty.
Sixpence Cottage’s first bedroom is yet another traditional and cosy space featuring a super-king-size bed. The second bedroom is a great room for everyone, with twin beds and plenty of storage space.
The bathroom has a more modern feel with a bathtub with an overhead shower, a wash basin, and a WC. You’ll also find a separate WC on the ground floor for your convenience.
A well-secured garden awaits you at the end of a long day. Featuring a four seater bistro set and parasol you can enjoy dining alfresco in the warmer weather.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. Access to the property is via a digital door lock.
Free on-street parking is available outside the property on a first come, first served basis. Gas works are currently being carried out which may have an impact on parking availability.
Due to the age of the property, some of the floors are not completely level so extra care should be taken when stepping in and out of the kitchen and hallway.
