Great Stay!

Very nice apartment with ease of access to Como! The host was incredibly helpful and communicative. She always made sure I had everything I needed and was very accommodating. Would high recommend!

Wonderful Experience

The property was impeccable. Everything that we needed and so convenient to the city center. Kathryn was a wonderful host. The apartment was well equipped and extremely clean. Our check-in process went very smoothly. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that wants to visit Lake Como.

Great host, apartment, & location plus a clothes dryer

We loved our stay in Como. The apartment was clean & comfortable and very nicely furnished and decorated. Our host was very friendly and proactive in ensuring we had info needed to check in and find the parking location. She offered to help with anything we needed, including reservations for outings or dinner. When there was a mix up of some sort and we got a parking ticket in the suggested parking spot, the host paid the fine immediately. Lake Como is a beautiful location, and this apartment was walking distance to Como city and the funicular and the tour boat piers. The washer and dryer were a great benefit for us. It was the middle of a two week trip, and dryers are hard to come by in Italy. This meant we could pack less and easily do laundry. An air conditioned apartment with a washer, dryer, and parking at this location, great hosts, and a good price was a wonderful blessing. We highly recommend and will stay again if we get back to Como.

No instructions about the property.

We managed to find our way. One evening there was a black out in the apartment. The switch for the electricity was locked we did not have the keys. We managed to get some help. In the morning talking to the doorkeeper said that this has happened before and the owner are not fixing the problem by increasing more kilowatts and giving a key to the guest to access the meter. Regarding the checking out it was never discussed. Only the day before I was asked what time I was leaving. We tried and we did keep the proper clean but the broom and other things were locked in a space near the kitchen! Finally, the guests should be warned of a local tax and that the owner need copy of they identity, not on the spot when someone arrives after 24 hours travel! In addition, the person who gives you the keys is not the owner, and the person to be contacted on some papers on the property is completely different!

Short walk to Lake Como

Arrived at the train station, however there were no taxis available. We decided to take the 15 minute walk that was suggested, however it took an hour due to our luggage. I'd recommend you wait until a taxi arrives and give them the exact address. It is worth the 10 to 15 euros. Once we arrived we were greeted by a young lady who only spoke Italian. She escorted us to the apartment. She should have shown us how to use the electric range, which coffee pot to use on the range and which coffee pot not to use on the range. We were never showed how to turn the light over the vanity in the bathroom or how to use the washer and dryer. We just had to figure these things out by ourselves which did take some time.. Don't count on having any coffee sugar or any condiments for your initial day at the condo. There is a coffee shop just a very short distance from the front door of the complex. There is also a grocery store within 300 ft of the coffee shop. The staff at the coffee shop was very cordial. Now as far as the unit is concerned, it is very nice. Much better than I expected. The view from the living room is 5 out of five Points. The photographs on the VRBO site do not show the beauty and detail of the view or of the unit. They did not disappoint. As a matter of fact if it wasn't for that factor I would have to give this a two rating out of five. We were promised internet, however there was a problem with the internet our entire time.

Easy Going

Great place to take in this region. Slower pace with the lake life but close enough to Milan if you want the big city. The rental unit in great shape and was a very comfortable stay.
