Enjoy the simple pleasures of country life
Sitting at the end of a no-through road, this farmhouse is a versatile space, with generous accommodation sleeping up to ten guests; perfect for sharing, or simply a tranquil spot to retreat, relax and enjoy the view. Dryburgh Farmhouse is a pretty red sandstone property overlooking a large lawned south-facing garden. Here you can cosy up in front of a roaring fire or head outdoors and enjoy the simple pleasures of country life. Inside, the interior is designed to ensure maximum guest comfort with a rich, warming scheme that combines a mix of both contemporary and traditional styling features.
The sitting room is well proportioned with deep generous sofas for a little lounge time while a separate dining room with warming oak and tweedy chairs offer a more formal entertaining space. The kitchen is sleek and modern with high-quality granite work surfaces, a range cooker with five burner hob and separate dining space for six.
Outside, guests can enjoy a large lawned garden, pick apples from the fruit trees in autumn, or take a short wander to the neo-classical pavilion with its fantastic Temple of the Muses sculpture; the mighty Wallace Monument; the spectacular ruins of Dryburgh Abbey and the Dryburgh Suspension Bridge which offers a leisurely walk into the village of St. Boswells for a leisurely lunch.
For guests looking for a shorter stay at Dryburgh Farmhouse, short breaks may be considered on request during low season. Please contact us to discuss.
