Booked 2 nights in hove to visit relatives. Booked through VRBO, although it was my getaways that dealt with payment, check in and management. Check in was difficult. I never received the relevant email which provided address key access codes etc. After many text messages and calls eventually got the check in details about 45 mins late! Property was nice and clean, however a number of blinds were broken. The skylight blind in the kids bedroom was just hanging from the ceiling, and a number of Venetian blinds bent or missing. I called my getaways and they sent someone out to take a look at the issue. They taped the skylight blind to the ceiling, so unable to open in the morning, and mentioned that blinds had previously been damaged by other tenants.This proved to be frustrating as they let in so much light during the night due to a security light which kept switching on and off all night.2 nights of bad sleep had by all occupants! I put in a complaint to my getaways with th regards to this issue and they took over a week to come back with absolutely nothing. Not even a gesture of refund of the security deposit which you have to pay for any breakages during your stay. Maybe they should have informed me prior that the blinds were broken, as I wouldn’t have stayed at the property. So overall a disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend my getaways.
