Nestled within the farm the cottage offers an insight into farm life while the large back garden offers privacy with country views. With views of the farm, calves and tractors from the front of the house to views of ponies and countryside from the back of the house, there is hopefully enough to keep everyone entertained. We are also only a 5 minute drive to the beach, 10mins from the ferry to Arran or grab a train to Glasgow to enjoy some city life. The cottage offers something for everyone, whilst still being private.

Beautiful 3 bedroom farm cottage located on a working farm. Close to town, restaurants and stores, remote enough to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Stayed with my tween and teenagers who loved talking to the horses out back.
The property was very tidy and well provided with all necessities.
Lorraine was very hospitable providing valuable advice about trips in the area and advising about places to eat.
Also, we had a great welcome package in the kitchen and the fridge enhancing the feeling of being welcome. Perfect after a day of travel.
My daughter's just loved being right on the farm with ponies at the back garden fence! Spacious property with lovely furnishings, comfy beds and amazing bathrooms/showers. Great location as nestled in quiet countryside but only minutes drive from all shops/train station/beach/main road etc. Lovely to arrive after a long journey to a little welcome pack and a friendly pony!
It was a wonderful, little property located in the heart of Sorbie farm. With a beautiful view of the rolling hills, endless fields, skyline and friendly visitsfrom the farm animals, this property made an excellent getaway especially being used to the business of city life. Connecting with the peaceful nature of the farm was what we needed. Not to mention the outstanding hospitality from the owners offering us a warm welcome, being at our door when we needed, offering us rides and fresh milk; well appreciated.
We loved staying at Sorbie Farm, it was a spacious and very clean cottage. We had a 12 year old and an 83 year old with us, the spiral staircase was fine for the 12yr old, he was up and down it like a mountain goat. The 83yr old managed fine but had to take it one step at a time, I think anyone with mobility issues may struggle.
The cottage was well equipped with all kitchen essentials, fans, heaters, extra blankets, games, hairdrier (with diffuser attachment which never usually happens for us curly haired folk!). Couldn’t have asked for anything else.
The lovely hosts left an amazing care package and were there to help at any time and even called round to see if my son wanted to go blackberry picking with them (he did 😊). The ponies visited us at the back fence, we saw chickens and even got to see the cows being milked! It was brilliant to see a bit of farm life first hand.
Whilst there we took a ferry trip to the Isle of Arran, visited Glasgow (the Science Centre is a great place, could easily spend 4hours or so there!) and we visited Largs for coffee and cake.
Overall a great place to stay, I would definitely recommend it. My son would too, he said it was the most comfortable bed he’d ever slept in and the shower was the best ever (it was!)

Why they chose this property
With large bedrooms and living areas this cottage is cosy but has enough room to give everyone their own space. The 3 large bedrooms are situated downstairs, while the living room, dining area, kitchen and bathroom are all up a spiral staircase. With views onto the farm, this is the perfect spot for tractor and farm enthusiasts whilst the large back garden gives privacy and views onto the pony paddock.
