About this property
Dreamy Fieldview Country Cottage
Fieldview Country Cottage is situated in attractive countryside just outside Beccles. It's the perfect base for exploring the Suffolk coastline, broads and Norwich.
The space
The cottage has a large bedroom upstairs with a king size bed. There is plenty of space for a travel cot and there are three single futon beds if you were planning on bringing little ones.
Downstairs there is an open plan recently renovated kitchen/lounge. The kitchen is well equipped and there is private parking just outside of the apartment. There is also a brand new shower room downstairs. Please note there is currently no TV downstairs (pending delivery) but there is one upstairs.
The cottage is separate but on the grounds of house and our intimate camping/glamping site 'The Wildings at Elms Meadow'. We are passionate about biodiversity and the environment and providing a space for guest to reconnect with nature. Much of our meadow is left to grow wild and we've tried to create diverse habitats to encourage biodiversity. Whilst Fieldview doesn't have it's own private outdoor space, guests are more than welcome to walk around the site, there are lots of areas for little ones to explore including a wooden playhouse. You are also welcome to use our front field to have a fire or bbq in when it is not in use. We ask that guests to be respectful of the plants and wildlife.
Guest access
There is lots to do in the area. The beautiful seaside town of Southwold is 25 mins away as is Walberswick which is fab for crabbing, lunch and ice cream eating! Covehithe is a naturally, wild beach which is great for a walk and picnic, not to mention the broads. There are ample opportunities for walking, canoeing, cycling, bird watching and boating locally. Norwich shops is a 30 minute drive away.
Other things to note
If you need a travel cot, highchair, changing mat, children’s toilet seat, potty or stairgate, please let us know. If there are any other amenities you need during your stay, please ask and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
There is private parking outside the cottage. We provide a small welcome pack including tea, coffee, milk, sugar as well as a local gift. There is also salt, pepper and oil in the cottage and enough toilet roll to last a few days. There are great farm shops nearby to source locally produced veg and meat.
Please be aware that we are located close to a wedding venue (including their in-house accommodation), and that the surrounding land in the immediate vicinity is privately owned although there are a number of public footpaths nearby.
We have another 2 bedroom cottage alongside shepherds huts, a glamping pod and camping pitches if you are looking for somewhere that might accommodate extend family or friends.
Our duvets and pillows are feather-filled. Please let us know in advance if you need an alternative option.
