Honey Cottage made a great base for our short weekend stay in the area.
Honey Cottage made a great base for our short weekend stay in the area. The layout is a one-room living style, with separate bedroom and bathroom, ideal for two persons. The location is away from the main road and peaceful, with a good parking space adjacent to the cottage. There is a small secluded patio area to sit out in which we did not use due to the time of year. A grassed area is also provided for dogs to exercise in at the end of the driveway, beside the road. The kitchen and bathroom are fitted out well with modern equipment and fittings all of a good standard, and with room to work without obstructing the lounge half of the main room. The bedroom is a good size, with storage enough for a short stay, and the bathroom is large and has a good shower, with plenty of elbow room! Heating was good and simple to use and hot water was available at all times as needed. The cottage was cleaned to a very high standard on arrival, with a small basket of goodies provided as a welcome. A guide to the workings of the cottage and some local facilities was included. We used the pub in the village, The Five Bells, and found it nice and friendly, with an old fashioned pub feel to it. About 200 metres along the road is a small park area which is suitable for a larger dog walking area if needed.Honey cottage was ideal for our short stay, our thanks to Louise.
