What a wonderful cottage. Absolutely perfect place to relax in peace and quiet, we spent many hours just watching the wildlife. A big thank you to Peter the host it exceeded our expectations,we hope to spend time there in the future.
We had a short break in Dovecote cottage and throughly enjoyed it. We arrived to Welsh cakes and Prosecco and milk in the fridge. Fresh flowers in the kitchen along with logs for the log burner. The cottage was very clean with comfortable chairs and bed. Sitting watching the birds was very relaxing and much enjoyed.spa bath after walks
It was a relaxing week in this beautiful cottage a birthday treat.
This cottage is clean it has everything you need. Lovely views outside we did lots of birdwatching we saw a Moorhen with her five cheeks and two woodpeckers and lots of small birds in the garden. The jacuzzi was lovely after a long walks.
We had a brilliant time during our stay. It was cosy and unique. We loved relaxing in the whirpool as well as watching the birds from the conservatory. The underfloor heating made it very cosy and it was a great bolthole for exploring pembrokshire.
Thank you Peter!
Beautiful property with homely touches. Comfortable bed, spa bath very relaxing. Quiet and very peaceful. We loved the area, close proximity to beaches, countryside and smallest city of St Davids. Lots of different birds to see, including birds of prey, woodpeckers, robins, families of moorhens and ducks. Little stream runs through the garden. We enjoyed watching the sheep with their offspring in the penned field. Simply delightful!
We had a very pleasant, private and relaxing time in a beautiful setting. The house was as described, and the hosts were dream hosts...with little delicacies in the fridge, cookies, soaps and bath products. We would like to thank the hosts very much and greet you warmly from Germany. P.S. It was my first holiday in Wales/UK and certainly not the last, thanks to Peter & Charlotte with their wonderful Docecote in the Gwm Gwaun Valley. Ralph
We booked as a birthday treat and what a treat it was.
The intention was to spend the weekend walking but a storm had different ideas.
We spent most of the weekend in the cottage and it was so cosy.
The bath is amazing, the bed is really comfy and the underfloor heating was a real treat.
Peter, the host, messaged us on the Friday with phone numbers of local people who would help us if we got stuck (he was away at the time), and then messaged us on Monday offering to put us up until we weee safe as there was no booking on the Monday.
Thankfully, we didn’t have to take him up on his offer, but we’re really grateful of his kind offer.
It was the little things that made us really happy.
The oil burner/ candles in the bathroom, the binoculars and birdwatching book in the conservatory, the bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and the ice cubes and ice packs already frozen in the freezer. We didn’t use the ice packs but what a thoughtful gesture.
We will definitely go again and recommend anybody to do the same.
